BeachBuffs
I just want to throw a piss bomb at all of you!!!! hahaha Please do. You'll fuel the rivalry for those that want it and confirm the lack of a rivalry for the rest of us The post from the other day pretty much sums up my take on the whole thing and the numbers from the Sports Illustrated poll reflect the sentiment in this thread. Some believe it is a rivalry and some do not. It makes no difference to me, Nebraska has been and will continue to be the #1 team on our schedule that I want to see destroyed year in and year out, a victory Friday will offer some consolation for this crappy season plain and simple but I do not need anyone on your side to affirm that it is a rivalry for me to enjoy it any more then I already will. zoogs
Come on. I don't care that CU is not a good team. I always look forward to the Thanksgiving games. I think the fanbase as a whole hates CU with a passion. And they've played us ridiculously close when we were on top. We've had some really tight games with them lately. And with the Thanksgiving format since the inception of the Big 12, I have to say if that's not a rivalry, what is? Quote Link to comment

Some believe that a rivalry is when two teams go out on the field and fondle each other's asses, you would never see Alabama and Auburn do that crap, you would never see Florida and Florida State pull that non-sense, and you better believe Texas and Oklahoma won't either. So if we played Iowa State the day after Thanksgiving, that would make it a rivalry? It's pretty obvious why we play Colorado on that date - the Big XII took away our rivalry game with Oklahoma, and the Huskers were unwilling to give up the national spotlight of that game on that date, so they slotted Colorado in as the next best thing. 808Husker in KCMO
I heard it is difficult to say the words Colorado and Rival in the same sentence when you lift your nose into the air. Quote Link to comment
BeachBuffs
Timing is everything, the reason the game took on significance was because of the recent history when the Big 12 was created. 1990 CU #9 NU #2 1991 CU #15 NU #9 1992 CU #8 NU #8 1993 CU #20 NU #6 1994 CU #2 NU #3 1995 CU #7 NU #2 1996 CU #5 NU #4 First year of the Big 12 So 5 out of the 7 game preceding the implementation of the Big 12 both schools were ranked in the Top 10 at the time of the matchup. 1994 to me was our best team ever, we just had the misfortune of playing you guys in Lincoln. Since nobody else would do it, I went ahead and got the numbers I asked for way up there ^^^ at the top of the thread. Does this look like two comparable schools: NU CU National Championships 5 1 Conference Championships 46 26 Record (all time) 823/340/40 658/419/36 Consecutive sellouts 304 ? Heisman Trophy winners 3 1 All other Trophy Winners 21 8 Academic All-Americans 64 ? Athletic All-Americans 106 30 Head-to-Head wins 47 18 Bowl Games Played 45 27 In what way is Colorado comparable to Nebraska? These numbers aren't even close. Not remotely close. Bo-Nose
I just want to throw a piss bomb at all of you!!!! hahaha I'd really like to learn the good ol' Colorado technique of filling water balloons with piss. I mean... how in the heck can normal people accomplish a feat like that? There should be some kind of massive pressure to inflate those things. I could understand how they fit their tiny willy in the balloon mouth but... inflating them with piss until they are the size of tomatoes? That has got to be an incredible skill to master. Next time you actually witness someone throwing a urine bomb, believe it happened. Until then, treat it with skepticism. Quote Link to comment

I don't get excited by playing Colorado, maybe if they become consistently good and challenge us for the B12N title for like the next 15-20 years, but until then.... Quote Link to comment
