WCHusker
http://www.dailycamera.com/ci_13867785 This announcement is awesome. Everyone will be in meltdown mode, and then they get to see their qbs sacked 10 times on Friday. Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
Nowhere in the article you posted does it says Hawkins will not be fired Thursday. It only says Bohn is flying back from Maui to meet with Hawkins. Quote Link to comment
WCHusker
Who gets fired on Thansgiving? Who gets fired the day before their last game of the year? Quote Link to comment

np_husker
Sounds like he's staying, but if they were going to fire him, doing it on Thanksgiving would be classless, even by CU standards. Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
It ain't intramurals brother! This is sCUm football brother! Quote Link to comment

Micheal
Sounds like he's staying, but if they were going to fire him, doing it on Thanksgiving would be classless, even by CU standards. If he does end up get fired tomorrow, wow, thats low. He's not that bad a guy, just hasn't produced the desired results. Well he's produced our desired results for Colorado but... BeachBuffs
Good, at least we have stability plus his best coaching seems to come against Nubraska. Quote Link to comment
cscott2win
I still think it's in CU's best interest to give him another year considering everything. With their financial situation and the fact that any hire they get or can afford will probably be more of a chance than Hawkins was. Fearing the loss of revenue from the absence of fans attending games is a hollow threat in Boulder. They struggle to fill their little stadium when they are winning. I know keeping Hawkins will anger some of the Buff faithful but evidently not enough to ante up some bucks. Quote Link to comment
Overland Park Husker
Good, at least we have stability plus his best coaching seems to come against Nubraska. Callahan had stability too. Wasn't always the best thing. Hawkins does however, seem to get his players ready for Nebraska. Is that the only game you guys want to win? Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Nowhere in the article you posted does it says Hawkins will not be fired Thursday. It only says Bohn is flying back from Maui to meet with Hawkins. It says that Hawkins came away from a meeting with the chancellor with the understanding that he'd be given a 5th season to coach Colorado. Quote Link to comment
husk3rf8n
Good!! Now they won't have that "win one for the lame duck coach" mentality!! Quote Link to comment
Captain K
Good!! Now they won't have that "win one for the lame duck coach" mentality!! Well, if they were going to oust him on Thanksgiving, I can't think of any other reason than to inspire CU to play harder Friday. If they would stoop that low, maybe they'd even paint something on an overpass about some former........nah, they wouldn't do that. Quote Link to comment
