The Gateshead-born player has been prevented from making his debut for the Reds by a thigh injury, but is expected to return to action within the next 2 weeks. With a game of such magnitude on the horizon, Drogba wants and expects the opportunity to make his presence felt during the encounter. Drogba has recently been benched in favor of Fernando Torres. Valencia had their chances, but couldn't find the back of the net. One goal was called back for being offside, but it looked like the ref blew the call. Messi had a bad game and got into a heated argument with Villa in the first half.
