FLU
A rumor that's been circulating down here in Baton Rouge is that LSU is trying to schedule a strong non-conference opponent to open the 2011 season. According to what I've heard, many LSU execs are pushing for Nebraska, since the Tigers have never beaten the Huskers and they feel that 2011 would be the year to do it. The game would be played at a neutral NFL site, most likely Dallas. Oregon is also a strong possibility to be LSU's opponent. Quote Link to comment

If it's 8, then it'd be possible to schedule LSU in 2011. As of now we already have 3 OOC opponents scheduled in 2011. However, if the Big Ten decides they're going to play 9 conference games, then the LSU game isn't possible. Quote Link to comment
GI56
If only Les Miles had been coaching Texas in the Big XII Championship- that last second would've been gone... Quote Link to comment
Lil' Red
If only Les Miles had been coaching Texas in the Big XII Championship- that last second would've been gone... Lol yeah I agree. LSU had terrible clock management in that Ole Miss game. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
DALLAS!!?? damn we leave the Big 12, and we would still have to go to fricken texas. Quote Link to comment
bleedNUred
That'd be awesome! Bring on the Tigers! Quote Link to comment
nemajordude
DALLAS!!?? damn we leave the Big 12, and we would still have to go to fricken texas. Yes but it would be a true neutral field. Well not really, as Baton Rouge is a lot closer to Dallas than Lincoln/Omaha ... but hey it's still a very easy drive. Quote Link to comment
whateveritis1224
Think I'd prefer it to be in St. Louis. It's closer to the conference that the teams will play in, while still being neutral. But I don't know, think we might want to pass on this. Quote Link to comment
HuskerNLimbo
That'd be awesome!!! Man I hope that happens. What a defensive battle for supremacy that'd be! Quote Link to comment
corncraze
I'm in, we do we start playing UCLA and Tennessee though? Quote Link to comment
kansas husker
seems unlikely we've seen several articles on how Peralman likes to schedule and it is usaualy one BCS school with Washington already on the schedule I don't see them adding the forth game as a BCS school Quote Link to comment

hskrpwr13
I always hate when teams try to schedule based on whether they think that team will be "down" due to graduations that year. I know everyone does it to a degree, but it still sounds sheepish. Quote Link to comment
FLU
Heck, I wouldn't mind seeing the game played in the Superdome. Nothing like getting your butt whipped in your own backyard. Quote Link to comment
