Bradr
Article Loud on the Lake Husky Stadium, which at its open end overlooks Lake Washington and has steel roofs above the north and south grandstands, can be a noisy place for opponents. In fact, a Wikipedia entry claims that during the 1992 night game between the Huskies and Nebraska, ESPN measured the noise level at 135 decibels, well above the threshold of pain. This was the highest decibel level ever recorded for a college football stadium. Interesting. Never heard of this before today. Apparently, 135 decibels is somewhere between a jet taking off and a gunshot. Quote Link to comment
Landlord
The sourced website for that wikipedia entry is Bleacher Report, so I wouldn't trust it. The loudest college football decibel rating is pretty well debated, and isn't exactly "scientific". Nevertheless, the stadium is extremely loud. Quote Link to comment
darkhorse85
I once added my friend to a list of serial killers on Wikipedia. Take info from that website with a grain of salt. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
Bleacher Report and Wikipedia (especially Wikipedia) should never be used to site information - EVER. Quote Link to comment
