irafreak
thought locker was suppose to be an NFL caliber QB??? Of course the announcers made sure we knew that locker is in year 2 of a new offense so he's still very raw. Quote Link to comment
Pasadena Husker
should be 28-7....WHY CODY WHY?? why? because he is who he is. lot of potential, but leaves it on the practice field. Quote Link to comment
HuskerNMO
anyone bshing the qb decision can shut up, Bo said the plan going in was for Cody to come in in the second quarter, cody came in in the second quarter. You can shut up, it doesn't make sense to pull out a guy who's in the flow when you're dominating and you have the ball so close to your own goal line. Plans can, and should be, adjusted. So what happens on the next play Taylor blows out his knee and is done for the season. Stupid mistake to play your backup for a series every game? Ask Texas about not playing their backup last year. Then you adjust, not saying Cody shouldn't be in the game, just saying don't give the kid the ball for the first time in the game when you are backed up like that. Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
This my first look at Martinez. It would be an understatement to say that I'm impressed. The only bad thing is that our QB recruiting may take a hit as the guys coming in are going to see this and then find somewhere where they'll get to play... Why would they? It's obvious if you're a backup you get to play some, even if it's a close game on the road and you're on the 10 yard line... Edit - And anyone that thinks it's a good call to put your backup in the game with a situation like that is out of their mind. Getting your backups some real play time is one thing, doing it in that situation is just retarded. Quote Link to comment

adc7236
Locker can throw away his Hypesman hopes with this game. He has not been impressive, but a think its a bit early for that prediction. Quote Link to comment

Yeah exactly. I think it was a dumb call. So you agree with the coach and the coach never makes mistakes so suddenly you are NOT a couch coach because you agree with the coach? We have the right to criticize a questionable decision. It's a message board. So don't come in here and yell at us to shut up. You don't like complaining then call your mom during game time. It wasn't a dumb decision. They've made the same decision the last two games, and Cody led TD drives. Here he fumbled trying to gain an extra yard, and that's what was stupid, not the fact that they put him in the game. He messed up and that's unfortunate... oh my god Jesse Palmer just called us the "Blackhawk defense." Quote Link to comment
ADS
so much for that 3 point spread Quote Link to comment
