Come and Take it Texas

Recommended Posts

In case anyone is as confused as I am, here is what the pages says:

Change your profile picture to the flag in the photo! The photo is based off a Texas flag that has a cannon instead of the corn Husk. "I think that it will enrage them to see their national ensign desecrated...that's my hope anyway," said creator of the sign, Russ Headlee.

"Well, in our display pictures, clearly depicted is a 'lone star' and a 'cornhusk', while under the husk it says come and take it, almost as if daring the lone star to take the husk's land," Headlee follower, Derek Brandt.

If you aren't up on Texas history, it is meant as a pro gun statement if you missed the subtlety, here is the original:

This is beautiful, I'm afraid most people wont get it though

I didn't until I saw the picture. Never paid enough attention to TX to know that much about 'em. Most of what I know about TXass is them printing textbooks that teach kids the earth is flat and Thomas Jefferson was a socialist or something. Well, it will piss them off, so it's all good.
