dtbugeater
a lot of huskers feeling down today. How about a quick shout-out to Burkhead. The guy is a stud and basically took this team on his shoulders for the last 4 games. The guy is young and may end up being in the conversation with some of the best. His guts and tough play make me feel good about the future. The thought of a healthy Martinez and Rex 1-2 years older makes me think that this tough/fast tandem will be a huge problem for the Big10(+2). Quote Link to comment
Ziebol
He's a team player. Rexy will have a record breaking year next year Quote Link to comment
Nexus
Kudos to Rex. He's the epitome of an All-Purpose player. More importantly, he's a hell of a nice guy off-the-field too. Quote Link to comment
Vizsla1
I will second-third-fourth all of that. Should be another exciting year next year. Quote Link to comment
ladyhawke
Amen! Rex is a difference maker both on and off the field. He's a great young athlete and a young man of character. He'll go far on the football field and in life-class act. I will second-third-fourth all of that. Should be another exciting year next year. Quote Link to comment
macroboy
rex is an absolute stud. He may be our best qb. Quote Link to comment
huskernumerouno
Love his attitude and spirit. He is Husker Football. Thanks for your efforts Rex Quote Link to comment
Lyons in the Sea of Red.
Lol speaking of qb, let the kid use his arm. That ball he threw to Taylor was a dart and incredibly accurate. I'd he has time to plant and throw that is 6, Taylor had his guy beat. Quote Link to comment
Lyons in the Sea of Red.
Also like to add kudos to broekemeier. Catching balls over the middle. It's really a shame it took this long for him to see the field. Quote Link to comment
JTrain
Best player on the team not named Alex Henery. Quote Link to comment
Nexus
Also like to add kudos to broekemeier. Catching balls over the middle. It's really a shame it took this long for him to see the field. I created a shoutout thread for Broekemeier further down the page. http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/49550-walk-on-power-shoutout-to/ Quote Link to comment
Haspula
He isn't as fast as Helu but I hope he gets better next year Quote Link to comment
cdw
And then when Rex does not have a record breaking season next year. Everyone will be asking him to leave and go to Penn State. Quote Link to comment
T_O_Bull
rex is an absolute stud. He IS our best qb. Fixed it for ya. T_O_B Quote Link to comment
Stuntz 2 Crouch
I agree with all of that, good stuff. It's nice to hear Burkheads a nice guy off of the field as well in today's football landscape full of prima donna's. Broekemeier played fantastic as well. Wish him and the rest nothing but the best for the upcoming bowl game and next year. And if no one's said it, thanks to all of the Big Red team for your efforts. Quote Link to comment
