C N Red
I think everyone is making it too hard. We don't need a bowl or trophy. There is an easy way to make this game have meaning. Whichever team wins, the other state has to harvest all of the corn for the winning state the next year. Done. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt96
I think it would be cool. Especially if they engrave the score on it each year and make the LOSER display it in their trophy case. Iowa has a trophy case, don't they? I'm sure they do & I'm sure there is plenty of room. Quote Link to comment
corncraze
Yawn... Is it really too much to ask that these rivalries form naturally on their own? Why must we manufacture these things? You would have thought we would have learned from Colorado. Quote Link to comment
corncraze
I mean.... COME ON! Seriously? This is what we came up with? Nebraska v. Iowa will play in "Farmageddon" *cringe* each year, to see who will have the honor of taking home... A bowl of corn... A bowl of corn.... Quite possibly theeeeeeee worst Rivalry game trophy out there. This is the kind of thing that happens when you attempt to FORCE a rivalry.. I mean, how about just don't have a trophy at this point. I see that as a better option than fighting over a BOWL OF CORN I suppose it IS better than the Corn Weiner design... It's certainly cliche. Not much creativity being used here that's for sure. cornhuskerfan1988
I voted pitchfork, cornbowl was probably my second though. Quote Link to comment
The Maudfather
Pitchfork is the best, IMO. Quote Link to comment
La Volpe
I still feel that "The Heroes Game" is a bit much. I would have much rather copied another game's title (Iowa/Nebraska Border War) than to call it something it completely is not. Quote Link to comment
Calvin
She even mentioned Minnesota this week. I just replied that they are a really good team, smiled and walked away. Silence is the best trash talk IMO. Ha! This is what I did too. Lots of Iowa fans at my work. Quote Link to comment
