Blaze1up
So is the championship game an SEC lock ? 6 straight is dominance, it's like there is the SEC and then the rest. When has this ever happened from a conference. What if Arkansas or Georgia win one of those games, does it even matter ? Quote Link to comment
Excel
I think its more or less locked up for the SEC...and if by some crazy circumstance it isn't two SEC teams they're still going to win an MNC. Quote Link to comment
n.e.husker
BCS: #1 LSU #2 Bama #3 Arkansas This is crazy, SEC is too good. Quote Link to comment
krill
It's certainly a bizarre situation in the SEC west. Arkansas basically needs to win and have Auburn pull off a miracle in the iron bowl to have a chance at an SEC title, otherwise Bama goes. When you look at all the hopes dashed this season over field goals, I don't know how a single soul can come away thinking the two best teams are really going to be playing in the NCG... Excel
Well Krill, If it comes down to Bama v. LSU you can count me as your single soul. Quote Link to comment
krill
Well yeah (probably), I meant to connect that statement to LSU losing to Arkansas. I just don't see how you pick two out of the SEC west in that scenario, and then you have 4 teams that were derailed by field makeable goals (Oregon, OU, OSU, and Boise), and also for good measure Wisconsin by hail mary passes. Yes, yes, field goals and defending hail mary passes are part of the game, but it's the very edge of win or lose throughout the season...one guy's leg and one defensive scenario that is rarely practiced at full speed because people get injured. Mandatory playoff plug goes here. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
The announcers said in the pregame that some people expect LSU to be in the National Championship game whether they beat Georgia or not. I was rooting for Georgia anyway but now I really am. I don't think anything would get us to a playoff faster than two non-conference-winning teams playing for the national title, especially when one of them lost their last game. Quote Link to comment
Excel
UGA's receivers SUCK! Quote Link to comment
Treand3
UGA's receivers man.... Quote Link to comment
VA Husker Fan
Unreal. Georgia would be in control of this game if they could catch or make the same reads as their QB is and turn and catch the ball. Quote Link to comment
husker_hurdler
3-0 Georgia.......LSU on another 3 and Out!!!!! Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
Georgia is looking the better team right now. Things could get very interesting. Quote Link to comment
Treand3
Georgia is looking the better team right now. Things could get very interesting. For sure. LSU is looking very flat. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Georgia is missing WAY too many opportunities. Could easily be up 14-0 and driving for more... Quote Link to comment
Excel
This is your traditional LSU team. They'll still win by 3 scores. They've done next to nothing in the first quarters of about half their games this year. I'm not worried at all. Quote Link to comment
