lo country
Congratulations to Rex on getting the single game carry record today. No easy feet considering the greats that have come before him as well as the supporting casts the other greats had. Hard working, humble and a great Husker rep. Congrats Superman. You earned it. Nice to see Martinez hand him the ball. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/colleges/burkhead-runs-record-38-times-for-160-yds-in-no-22-nebraskas-20-7-win-over-hawkeyes/2011/11/25/gIQAmtiTwN_story.html Quote Link to comment
Skers!
Much respect to not only Rex but all the players today...especially the seniors! We will miss ya! Quote Link to comment
Enhance
Thank god we have Rex for another year! I wish were keeping some of those seniors, but I'm happy for all of them despite some inconsistent performances this year. Huskers forever and a place in our hearts forever. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Gotta love these stats: Burkhead raised his season rushing total to 1,268 yards, moving up from 20th to 11th on the single-season rushing list. Burkhead will need 32 yards in Nebraska’s bowl game to crack the top 10 on the Nebraska single-season rushing list. - Burkhead also moved up five spots to 13th on the Nebraska career rushing list at 2,565. In Friday’s game, Burkhead moved past Roger Craig (2,446 yards), Rick Berns (2,449), Dan Alexander (2,456), Keith Jones (2,488) and Correll Buckhalter (2,522). Next ahead of Burkhead is Jammal Lord (2,573). Burkhead is 179 yards from reaching the top 10 on the Nebraska career rushing list. - Burkhead’s two-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter gave him at least one touchdown in 11 of 12 games this season. He has 15 rushing touchdowns and 17 overall touchdowns in 2011, tying him for seventh place on the NU single-season touchdowns list. Quote Link to comment
BigRedPowerWagon
Im telling ya, this is how that man was created. A freak child created by Pelini and Osborne with a cross of DNA of Suh and Schlesinger Quote Link to comment
nebraskaart
Very humble for not wanting to go in for the record setting carry. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
I think he'll definately be in the discussion from the get-go next season. Quote Link to comment
BigRedPowerWagon
Yea its to late this season but if he keeps it up he is definately on the list. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
I'm sorry but the positive tone of this thread is going to force it to have to be moved to another board, maybe even another team's board. Quote Link to comment
chickenheart
Rex doesn't show up on lists....lists show up on Rex Quote Link to comment
tschu
If there was ever a real-life definition of "workhorse" ...no question it would be Rex. Not close to enough superlatives in the world for this guy. Easily my favorite (and the public's favorite) Husker since Crouch. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
Rex doesn't win the Heisman. The Heisman wins Rex Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Rex doesn't win the Heisman. The Heisman wins Rex Yes. The Heisman does not deserve Rex. There just is not enough media hype. Quote Link to comment
wilber24
Rex doesn't win the Heisman. The Heisman wins Rex Yes. The Heisman does not deserve Rex. There just is not enough media hype. Never will be a factor in the Heisman, not enough media around NU for that. Quote Link to comment
