Go Nebraska! - from a Clemson Fan

Meh. We had plenty of SC fans that came over just to talk smack to the Clemson fans for the Gator Bowl a few years ago.

I can only address what I see. I wasn't here for that but so be it.

It was pretty entertaining actually. There were locked threads, some moved to The Woodshed, and people banned. It was the internet version of all of my family's gatherings.

When I found out we were playing South Carolina I was actually looking forward to some of those threads. Been a let down so far.

Killercacti is too level headed and easy going to argue with and tigermac seems to be much the same way. Sorry to disappoint, I know its no fun.

I just wanted to put out a "Go Huskers" for the Capital One Bowl next week from a Clemson fan.

Our family had a great time at the 2009 Gator Bowl when Clemson played Nebraska and loved the passion, enthusiasm, and knowledge all of the Nebraska fans had for the game and for their team. I think we were the only Clemson fans staying at Nebraska's headquarters at the Marriott Sawgrass, but all of the Nebraska contingent made us feel welcome and our kids had great time meeting the players and fans.

Thanks for the well wishes and kind words. Best to you too...Make sure to be careful down there in Miami...WVU fans have been known to be a bit unruly.

I just realized that I'll be flying into Orlando on the same day as the Capital One Bowl before we head down for the Orange Bowl to see the Clemson game. If it all works out, I'm hoping to be able to make it to the Nebraska game to cheer on the Corn Huskers over the lowly Gamecocks. I'll be the guy wearing Clemson colors, but cheering for Nebraska.

I haven't looked into tickets yet, so I'm curious if any one knows the likelihood being able to get a couple of tickets on game day...

should be easy. Last check it wasn't anywhere near sold out. Nebraska didn't even sell its required amount. I think we get to eat 3 or 4 thousand tickets.

My guess...

$40 will get you a 3rd Tier scalped ticket.

$60 will get you a 2nd Tier scalped ticket.

or walk up to the window and buy a 3rd tier for full price $60-$90

There will be plenty of tickets for walk-ups... and you might just make a sign, "Clemson Fan Cheering for NU, need Ticket" and you probably will get a deal.

Thank you for your kind words.

My parents went to the Gator Bowl and told me that they would love to party with Clemson fans in the future. They told me that Clemson fans were great to party with before and after the bowl game. They went to the Alamo Bowl when Nebraska played against Michigan and Michigan fans were already celebrating a win before the game started and were total asshats to my parents and other husker fans. My parents invited Michigan fans to a bar for a drink after the game hours before the game started and when my parents arrived at the bar no Wolverine fans were there to party or buy drinks for.

I'll be rooting for Clemson and have been rooting for Clemson since the Gator bowl back in 08' for the way Clemson fans treated my parents and other Husker fans and plus I like your head coach.

P.S. if you have any dollar bills with the Clemson logo in it can you send me that (fake) bill to me. I'll give you my address and thanks (I guess there were fake bills going around at the 08' Gator bowl with the Clemson logo on it). GO HUSKERS AND TIGERS!!!

Man I miss Clemsonfans.. Prolly my favorite fans that have been on this board.

+1

I agree. Clemson fans that my parents and the couple that they were with for the 08' Gator bowl enjoyed parting with Clemson fans. After hearing their stories I started to respect and root for Clemson. GO HUSKERS AND GO TIGERS!!!

I guess online tickets are much cheaper. You might want to go that route. Thanks for the support. I like your coach. He has an interesting name! Best wishes in 2012!
