MichiganMan
So, if I lay $3000 I coud easily win $100. Doesn't quite seem worth it and I'm sure not going to waste $100 hoping against hope to make $3000. NO! if you lay 3000 down on a 30/1 odds and win, you walk with 90,000 Quote Link to comment
MLB 51
Laid down a dime spot on Nebraska and a dime spot on USC Trojans and a dime on tiger to win a major. Is USC eligible this year? Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
We'll see if these coaches can develop players (which I believe they can, evidence shows). With how young the team is overall....I expect solid improvement next year, hence a better overall winning record than 2011. If we have the same record next year....then I'd start looking at the coaching aspects in regards to player outcomes (whether it be development, preparation, focus, motivation, etc.). Hammerhead
Laid down a dime spot on Nebraska and a dime spot on USC Trojans and a dime on tiger to win a major. A dime (as in 10 cents) is about all I'd ever feel comfortable betting on sports. Quote Link to comment
808Husker in KCMO
For the record, the Royals are 30/1 to win the World Series as well... Quote Link to comment

Yes they are. Why do you think Barkley is coming back? to win a championship. Honestly i expect USC to be heavily favored to win it all. Quote Link to comment
FLU
LSU will probably be #1 next year in the preseason poll, followed by USC at #2 and Bama at #3. Quote Link to comment
hardcore
I would never bet on the huskers. I would take it way to personal and we have all witnessed self-destruction mode more than a few times. I'm only good for a friendly bet haha. Quote Link to comment

Laying odds is when you bet the other side of the coin. When you lay odds, you generally bet more to win less. At 30/1, you are better off putting your money into a mutual fund then laying odds.... You mistakenly assume I would lay that money on Nebraska. I thought I explained that sufficiently in my original post. You did know you can bet either side of that deal didn't you? edit-sorry I see someone else already explained it. Quote Link to comment
