tschu
The throwing motion was still a little suspect really? Quote Link to comment
whateveritis1224
Jackson was all over the place on the field. Very high motor, found him several times 10-15 yards down the field looking for someone to block. Quote Link to comment
strigori
Taylor hit Turner in stride, I love it. He was behind the target all last year. If this is the Taylor we get all season, it should be a very good year. Quote Link to comment
huskerenner
Where have all the Taylor bashers gone? Nice game Taylor, keep playing like that and maybe they will go away for good. Quote Link to comment
beanman
Where have all the Taylor bashers gone? Nice game Taylor, keep playing like that and maybe they will go away for good. Come on man. He looked 10x as good today as he did at any time last year. Everyone on here was giving him credit. Quote Link to comment
Treand3
Hope Taylor can keep it up. I get a sense that the Bruins still think he isn't a treat to throw. Quote Link to comment
bshirt
Where have all the Taylor bashers gone? Nice game Taylor, keep playing like that and maybe they will go away for good. The first marginal game he has will have them back like flies on poop. Quote Link to comment
Stu
Tmart had great stats, especially since this was the first game and the play calling was probably conservative. Throws looked consistent and made me happy. I hope you break the record Tmart. Quote Link to comment

cdhrk3
when did we get a pocket passer??? Quote Link to comment
'SkersRule
when did we get a pocket passer??? I don't know but what we saw today is exactly what we need to keep those running lanes open. In the past two years teams have been able to roll the dice and stuff the box to shut down the running game because they figured Martinez couldn't beat them with his arm. Well Taylor showed that this year he's a little different. And it was really interesting to listen to the national pundits, especially ESPN's Jesse Palmer, who commented after the game that he was extremely impressed about how much Taylor had improved his footwork and overall mechanics. Now Taylor simply needs to just keep doing it the right way. 1 Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
+1 Skers. We have clearly shown the ability to beat teams through the air. Let's hope it continues to look the way it did yesterday. Taylor looked incredible. We have a very powerful and dangerous offense. Opposing teams will have to respect us now. Big congrats to Martinez, Beck and the rest of the offense. They all look bigger, faster,.and better. The offseason work looks to have paid off. I can't say the same great things about our defense or special teams at this point. Maybe not the defense as a whole, mostly just the defensive line. I don't know where to start, but I won't start bashing them. It was only one game, but Lord these kids have some work to do. They clearly have to get better. Strength and speed look like a real problem up front. Quote Link to comment
IllinoisHuskerFan
I thought the second TD was the most impressive. He audibled at the line of scrimmage and then threw a perfect ball on the post corner route. In stride and only where his guy could catch it. Perfect throw but more important he read the defense correctly! Quote Link to comment
Hooked on Huskers
NCAA stats - passing efficiency T-Mart got #5 rating. Concern: Danny O'brien - Wisconsin - #13. Wilson clone? Nah....against N. Iowa (Div I-A) Cody Green? #96. I watched Tulsa vs. IowaSt. game. Cody was no improvement. See http://web1.ncaa.org...g&div=IA&dest=O Quote Link to comment
