I get the visor thing, but I'm a little confused about the goalie equipment and the hybrid icing.

 

Is the size reduction of the goalie equipment to help the goalies move better or is it something to increase scoring?

 

I'm still researching hybrid icing. It doesn't really make sense to me, yet.

I think "hybrid icing" is what they use in College Hockey. If you ice the puck, the opposition doesn't have to skate back to touch it, they'll whistle it dead...

The purpose of "hybrid icing" was to cut down on injuries from guys chasing the puck down then getting crushed into the boards...
