Spoiler Alert...

WE'RE #1

A reddit user collected data from every team since 1973 and created an algorithm that ranks all the programs in the country based on things like...

Wins

Losses

Strength of Schedule

Scoring Ratio (points scored - points allowed)

The Top 10

1. Nebraska (B1G)

2. Oklahoma (Big XII)

3. Ohio State (B1G)

4. Alabama (SEC)

5. Michigan (B1G)

6. Penn State (B1G)

7. Florida (SEC)

8. Florida State (ACC)

9. USC (PAC-12)

10. Boise State (Irrelevant)

Thoughts?

Yeah, some of the team's rankings are inflated because they are so new to the FBS, but if you just take out teams like Boise State and the South Florida, then it's a pretty legit list from top to bottom.

Also, the guy didn't include sanctions for teams like Penn State and Miami.

Wish the time frame went back to 1970 - Imagine how much that would have added to our #1 position. NC in 70 & 71 - perhaps the 2nd or 3rd best team of all time in the 71 Huskers (95 Huskers being # 1, 2001 Miami possible # 2).

Sad that we haven't won anything since the 1999 Big 12 CC - modern day kids/recruits don't know of us as being the most dominant program since 1962.
