Good news for us re: Obamacare/ACA

Posted by one of my right winger friends on fb, but I'm beginning to think it originated from the left. But it was on the interwebs, so it must be true.

Obama Care. Just wait to see what happen in 2013 & 2014!

Age 76 Today, I went to the Dr. for my monthly B12 shot that I have been getting for a number of years. The nurse came and got me, got out the needle filled and ready to go then looked at the computer and got very quiet and asked if I was prepared to pay for it. I said no that my insurance takes care of it.

She said, that Medicare had turned... it down and went to talk to my Dr. about it. 15 minutes later she came back and said, she was sorry but they had tried every-thing they could but Medicare is beginning to turn many things away for seniors because of the projected Obama Care coming in. She was brushing at tears and said, "Some day they too will get old", I am so very sorry!!

Please for the sake of many good people. . . ..be informed please .

YOU ARE NOT GOING TO LIKE THIS...

At age 76 when you most need it, you are not eligible for cancer treatment

* see page 272

What Nancy Pelosi didn't want us to know until after the healthcare bill was passed. Remember she said, "We have to pass the Bill so that we can see what's in it." Well, here it is.

Obama Care Highlighted by Page Number

THE CARE BILL HB 3200

JUDGE KITHIL IS THE 2ND OFFICIAL WHO HAS OUTLINED THESE PARTS OF THE CARE BILL.

Judge Kithil of Marble Falls, TX - highlighted the most egregious pages of HB3200

Please read this....... especially the reference to pages 58 & 59

JUDGE KITHIL wrote:

**

Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to all non-U.S. residents, even if they are here illegally.

**

Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an individual's bank account and will have the authority to make electronic fund transfers from those accounts.

**

Page 65/section 164: The plan will be subsidized (by the government) for all union members, union retirees and for community organizations (such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now - ACORN).

**

Page 203/line 14-15: The tax imposed under this section will not be treated as a tax. (How could anybody in their right mind come up with that?)

**

Page 241 and 253: Doctors will all be paid the same regardless of specialty, and the government will set all doctors' fees.

**

Page 272. section 1145: Cancer hospital will ration care according to the patient's age.

**

Page 317 and 321: The government will impose a prohibition on hospital expansion; however, communities may petition for an exception.

**

Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates advance-care planning consultations. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an "end-of-life planning" seminar every five years. (Death counseling..)

**

Page 429, line 13-25: The government will specify which doctors can write an end-of-life order.

HAD ENOUGH???? Judge Kithil then goes on to identify:

"Finally, it is specifically stated that this bill will not apply to members of Congress.

Honorable David Kithil of Marble Falls , Texas

All of the above should give you the ammo you need to oppose Obamacare. Please send this information on to all of your email contacts.

Nebraska's not expanding Medicaid.

Time to drop a note to your friendly local GOP representatives . . . (but I wouldn't really expect them to care.)

They already didn't pass it in May.

Yep. So let's hold them accountable for their actions.

Here's an article that sort of explains how this happened. In short, the Supreme Court ruling made Medicaid a state by state choice. It was originally mandatory for anyone under the 138% poverty level. But I only skimmed it and I didn't see any mention of people below 100%, so maybe they were never supposed to get help:

Right.

In other news, conservatives predicted the Obamacare rollout would be a trainwreck, and it has not disappointed:

Day One of the Obamacare exchanges is not quite the rollout supporters were hoping for.....Just before 10 a.m., the administration was already apologizing for the glitches...Meanwhile, statewide exchanges are also running into their own problems.

FWIW, I tried setting up an O-Care account for myself, made it to the final "Submit" click before an error message popped up and sent me back to the home page. Subsequent attempts have not allowed me to fill out the security questions on Step 3.

This is exactly why the exchanges are going live months before Jan. 1.

Plus no one is going to sign up anyways, right? I already burned my Obamacare card. ;)

Oh, plenty will sign up because they have families to take care of and their employer has discontinued their coverage due to this law --- there just won't be enough young people willing to overpay to keep the enterprise afloat.

Well our state health exchange opened for business today. You can actually use their website to compare plans. What a f'ing joke. Affordable Care Act my ass. There isn't one thing affordable about it. Currently I pay about $1,000 per month for the lowest crap level family plan I can get. Under the new ACA health exchange I can get an even crappier plan and pay about $250 more per month or I can get the same crap level coverage for about $350 more per month or I can get a decent gold level plan for pushing $2,000 per month. On what planet is that considered affordable? Oh well, at least Obamacare is giving us choices; bad, worse, and unbelievably terrible. As long as my tax dollars are used to subsidize other peoples healthcare I guess I won't worry about being able to afford my own coverage. Liberty, Equality, Justice, and Freedom- that's what the stamps on my desk say.

JJ...you just don't understand and you need to fall in line with the thought process. There are obviously smarter people running this and you just need to trust them.

Wouldn't you think that trying to get people to be healthier be in the best interest of everyone?

We have been trying for a long time to figure out how to offer really good health care to our employees. The problem is, we always have a small section of our population that lives their lives with no regard for their health. They smoke, drink, are fat...basically don't give a sh#t. Well, these people tend to really cost EVERYONE involved.

So, for the last several years we have been working towards trying to fix this. We brought in a service that runs a wellness program for our employees. It really is a great service. We thought that would help. Up until now, we pay 100% of our employee's premium and they pay anything above and beyond that for family coverage. The problem is, this unhealthy sub group doesn't partake in the wellness program. Only the healthy people do.

So....we want to start charging everyone for their premiums and then if you partake in the wellness program and don't use tobacco, you will receive credit back for the premium.

WELLL......Obamacare has deemed that not good. If we do that, we then no longer provide an "affordable" health insurance and will be fined.

So, we want to help our employees be healthier and provide a good health plan but because of the rules in this bill we can't.

God forbid the young, healthy, and making over 4x the poverty level Americans take a little hit. Life is already so rough for them! Meanwhile, f#*k the old and sick and poor, they don't need affordable health coverage - what they need is to PICK THEMSELVES UP BY THEIR BOOTSTRAPS AND GET A JOB PAY FOR THAT CANCER CARE YOURSELF, ASS. Some country we live in, eh?

But no, JJs rates went up. Scrap this crappy idea.

In a perfect world we'd have Canada's single-payer system, but the entire GOP would probably have a collective heart attack before that happens (which would also likely be a good thing for America).

I apologize for my use of Caps Lock; that was immature.
