LB Devante Bond [Oklahoma Commit]

Claims we may be "transitioning" next year and want him to play opposite Gregory with both of them dropping into coverage as well as rushing the passer. More rumors of a switch to a 3-4...

Does this mean we are looking at moving Moss to DT? Noticed they had him line up over center a few times.

I think on 3rd and long you'll see more of this just because we seem to be sending a lot of blitzes that confused NW's fronts.

I would say Moss would fit well as a 3-4 DE. VV would likely fit well as the NT. I would imagine McMullen would be the other DE of those who have played much so far.

Collins would make a good 0-Tech guy as well.

I feel a 3-4 would work with Gregory and Moss as OLB/DE and VV, McMullen, and Curry as your DLman. Plug in who you want to at MIKE and we are gonna have some BATTLES at LB in the next year or so. Let's not forget that Love and Newby are still here too.

Bond would add another REAL SEC athlete. Not ESPN hyped SEC.

Pretty much think this is one of the more important recruits in the class. We need pass rushers, desperately. Moss and Gregory are good, but outside of those two, we lack anyone on the team who is the type of guy who can create pressure.

You can never have enough pass rushers. Never. And getting that consistent pressure on opponents make the rest of the defense look so much better.

Plus, never hurts to have guys who are physically ready from day 1 (Devante is in the Astros hat) ..

Not sure Moss would be quick enough to play OLB but Gregory, Z. Anderson and Afalava would be a good trio. I'm counting (hoping) Gerry gets moved back to safety next year.

I think he has the potential to be next year. Really a big fan of his game and I think he's a very explosive player. I don't think anyone would be wrong in saying that we have three underclassman on our DL that will get drafted in Moss, VV, and Gregory. The others have the potential to as well.
