I believe that "not as bad as thought" comment is because the ACL wasn't involved. No knee injury is a good one, but the ACL is the biggest concern. He should have plenty of time to rehab before the combine. It doesn't help his draft stock, but I don't believe it "wrecks" his career either. Quote Link to comment

We was projected as a 2nd round pick on the last big board I had saw. I'm not sure he would have been that high before the injury. Guards don't go as high in the draft like tackles do. We was projected as a 2nd round pick on the last big board I had saw. I'm not sure he would have been that high before the injury. Guards don't go as high in the draft like tackles do. It will hurt him some, injuries always do. But probably will still be drafted. Guards go plenty high if they're good enough. 3 were taken in the 1st round last year - 2 in the top 10. I believe they had his as the *4th* guard. (*EDIT: They had him as the 5th guard) Quote Link to comment

Maybe it's changing a little bit because there were a couple in the first round in 2012. But for 6-7 years before that there were usually 4-6 tackles in the first round and maybe one guard.
