np_husker
There aren't enough fingers in the good state of Nebraska to single out the culprits in an unthinkable 34-23 loss to the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Only one finger will be necessary, however. This is Bo Pelini's program. This is his team. This was his brutal loss. Full column: http://www.omaha.com...a-broken-record Quote Link to comment
Ric Flair
Pretty much spot on. Even the true Bolievers have to realize that trusting him with this program is essentially exactly like Charlie Brown trusting Lucy to hold the football so he can kick it. How many times to we have to see the same thing play out to realize that Bo is simply incapable of being a head coach at this level? Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
opposing teams know...just run straight at us...we can't stop you. Quote Link to comment
gobiggergoredder
But teams are often a reflection of their head coach. And while Pelini has always talked a tough game, his teams don't play one when they need it. +1 Tom Quote Link to comment
Dr. Mantis Toboggan
Spot on. I wonder if we will hear another tape of Bo telling Shatel to F off... Quote Link to comment
Bowfin
I know I would kiss Pelini's rear end on the way out if he promised to leave. It wouldn't leave as bad a taste in my mouth as if he stayed around... Quote Link to comment

This confirms to me, what I've known for a while... Shatel is a Huskerboard lurker/member... Quote Link to comment
Glendower
If he were to restructure the staff-- essentially make himself DC and appoint someone to be something like his XO to carry out some of the head coachly duties (but with Bo's input). This would kind of flip the way it seems to work now: bo trying to be the head coach and just meddling in everything enough to, apparently, confuse the hell out of everyone. I'm not sure what the big answer is, but I think Bo as DC could still be good. I do think that he meddles but doesn't take over and JP doesn't know how to run Bo's D but, simultaneously, isn't allowed to craft his own. Quote Link to comment
