I guess technically, Mangino is a 'name' hire, but in reality, they're getting a washed up head coach that has been unemployed for the last several years before being a position coach at Youngstown State. I guess technically, Mangino is a 'name' hire, but in reality, they're getting a washed up head coach that has been unemployed for the last several years before being a position coach at Youngstown State. Or they're getting a head coach with a BCS victory on his resume, and was toxic after a deadspin report led to his firing at his school that half of the fanbase is still upset over, and he's finally been away long enough for the stink to wear off.
