Mavric
Nathan Gerry, after making a nice defensive play in practice, will often times spread his arms and bounce around while running in a figure-eight fashion. Imagine a young boy pretending he’s an airplane, just having fun. That is, after all, what Nebraska defensive coordinator John Papuchis wants this young, growing group of defenders to do this football season. “That’s one thing Coach JP wanted us to do from a couple of weeks after the bowl game until now, is to have more fun,” said Gerry, a sophomore from Sioux Falls, S.D. “That’s one thing the defense is trying to focus on, because last year we were kind of dragging around at practice. “Now, we’re just trying to have a lot more fun at practice.” LJS Quote Link to comment

Eric the Red
Well Gerry looks like he put on some good weight. Huge arms. make a couple nice hits, you can tell he was trying to make the big hit. Wiffed pretty good on a bubble pass to K. Bell and bounced hard off of an attempted tackle of Cross. Good news is these things happen to most other players when attempting to tackle these two players. Quote Link to comment
