Junior
It cracks me up to read the posts about ESPN. "Man, ESPN sucks." "ESPN hates Nebraska." "I'm never watching ESPN again, they are so biased" "zOMG ESPN mentioned us on SPORTSCENTER!!!" Quote Link to comment
Dr. Mantis Toboggan
Boy, you heard that wrong. Davis and the ESPN panel were actually making the case FOR Ameer, but accurately noting the odds against him (too many quarterbacks in the running, underwhelming Husker team). It was also multiple ESPN crews that created the Suh for Heisman bandwagon in 2009, while doubting that the actual Heisman voters would have the balls to break tradition. Hating Ameer? Where does this sh#t come from? ESPN hates Nebraska Have you watched Fox? Every time they show the people in the Heisman running Ameer is never mentioned. At least ESPN acknowledges that he exists. It's hilarious, yes, but not surprising. We want to think everyone dislikes Nebraska so when they do well we can throw it in their face. Quote Link to comment

It was a joke pointed at all the people who say ESPN doesn't show us enough love. Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
This is a case of oversensitivity. Abdullah has very little chance of winning the Heisman, and if someone says he's not going to win the Heisman they're probably right. He's a running back. He'll be on a team that will probably have 2-4 losses. He's not playing in a conference that people consider good. Quote Link to comment

Guy Chamberlin
Yeah, it's time to put Lou Holtz out to pasture for his own good, but if we're talking about the same broadcast both Holtz and Mark May were far more forgiving of Nebraska's off-day than 98% of HuskerBoard. Quote Link to comment
