Rece Davis Hating Ameer

I don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but we were watching ESPN after the game, and Lou Holz was talking up Nebraska... how this wasn't the end of the world. Then for no reason at all... Rece (I think it was him) said that "Even though Abdullah won't win the Heisman..."

 

Who says that this early in the season about any really good player? Like it's already decided? It pissed me and my people off.

Rece isn't necessarily hating on Ameer, but matter-of-factly stating that you have to be on a title-caliber team to win the Heisman. A team that he doesn't think Nebraska is. After today's performance, he's probably right.

He was saying it bc he doesn't think we'll be good enough for him to be under consideration. Not a shot at Ameer, more at the team as a whole. He was making a case that Ameer just produced a Heisman moment but won't win it.

he said something you could literally say about every player except one and be correct and he is "hating on ameer."

 

that is pretty funny. i thought he was very generous to ameer and nu. just calling it as he saw it. a heisman is hard for anyone to get and he is not on the flashiest team playing against flashy competition.
