NebraskaHarry
It'd be a damn same if Abdullah didn't get 350 rushing yards tonight. 1 Quote Link to comment
Army_Allen
Piss more play calling and QB play on the last 3 plays. Beck setting Tommy up with disaster and Tommy not going through his progressions. You remember that time you threw Abdullah in the flats against McNeese. Good Grief!TA is a PA passer. He is not a pocket, progression guy. Beck wants a Reesing so bad........ Need to continually play to TA's strengths. (go back to them) Nope. TA is all of the above. Hes just young and learning. Hard to believe huh? Him being a sophomore and all. He's a dual threat QB, he can make all the throws......but when he makes any mistake we want to label him and his entire skill set instead of just admitting that he's young and he makes some of the same mistakes that NFL veterans make. No it's people like you thinking he's gonna be more than he really is. He's not gonna be an elite College qb, that's ok. With our run game the next two-three years, you don't have to be Mariotta or Winston, or Braxton for that matter. As long as he keeps up his amazing ability to run and grow to be efficient with the ball and read the field well enough to consistently make teams pay for stacking the box, he'll have done what's expected of him. BIGREDIOWAN
No reason to throw the ball when the other team can't stop the run. Simple as that..............don't care if it's MSU or Fresno State. We're going to run it, try and stop it! Seemed to work fine in the 90's............ Quote Link to comment
Husker no ka oi
is ameer's 196 in a half a husker record? if not it's pretty impressive for him and the record holder Rozier 230 in 83 vs k-state 1 Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
Most yards in a half: 230 Mike Rozier November 12, 1983 vs. Kansas. 1 Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Of Tommy's 7 incompletions, we had - one 3rd & 20 - one 3rd & 11 - three in a row during the 60 second drill. We have to get better when we're in pass-only situations (such as the excellent 3rd & 5 screen to Newby) but as long as we're only throwing in pass-only situations, our efficiency numbers won't be that great. Look up any team's 3rd & 10+ or 2-minute drill completion % stats. The INT and the near-INT were very bad decisions, though. No doubt. But look at the long TD throw, the Kenny fade in the endzone where he didn't run through, or the long completion to Westerkamp where he felt the pressure, stepped up and hit his man downfield, and tell me Tommy doesn't threaten with his passing ability. In the meantime, we're content to run the ball 38 times in one half, have scored 31 points, and put up 391 yards. Few performances are completely perfect, but this one is clicking tonight. Thanks_Tom RR
Bo sounds FIRED UP going into the second half. Calling out the defense on busted assignments and lack of communication. GET 'EM BO! Let's see how the team responds. Quote Link to comment
