teachercd
I really hope that Riley doesn't do it that way here at NU. I did not really like how Bo did it either but I hope they basically do a full scrimmage for the 65K fans that will be there. http://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/index.ssf/2014/05/photos_oregon_state_beavers_sp.html Quote Link to comment
okaive
I'm wondering if Riley knows how much we actually look forward to our spring game compared to OSU. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
I'm wondering if Riley knows how much we actually look forward to our spring game compared to OSU. I am sure he does (by now) and he doesn't strike me as the stubborn type so I hope that it is a good "game" format. I also hope that my liver can handle it. Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
I miss the days of 1's vs 1's but with the newness of the staff they'll still probably be evaluating the depth chart. Light scrimmage sounds super lame. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
I would be just fine with this... Ones Vs. Ones for the first half Second half...do what you want. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
i think he understands 65K at a spring game will demand more than a dog and pony show! Quote Link to comment

Marf
Could you imagine Riley bringing kids on the field for Armstrong to play catch with? It'd be like that Peyton Manning SNL skit. They'd be dead. Tommy throws heat. No exceptions. 2 Quote Link to comment

Kiyoat Husker
I would be just fine with this... Ones Vs. Ones for the first half Second half...do what you want. agree. The kids and families start getting squirrely (sp?) towards the end anyway. Also gotta let the kids come out on the field at the half. My boy LOVES that part! Quote Link to comment

RunMickeyRun02
IIRC during his first press conference he was asked if he would have open practices like he did at OSU and he said something along the lines of he'd like to but admitted it probably wouldn't be feasible logistically (because of how many people would show up) . So I think even day one he know how seriously we take things here. I am sure hoping for a normal game 1 vs 1s as well. Not the 1 point for this, 2 points for that like last year. I realized that was done for lack of depth reasons, but it still sucked. Or the "entire first team vs the scrubs so we look good for the offensive recruits" like in the Callahan days. Whatever the case I don't think I'll even try to go this year. I remember not being able to get into Pelini's first spring game either and watching the game on the big screen on the soccer field.
