SandhillshuskerW
Does this change things at Ohio State or are they going to be ok? http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/14015177/jt-barrett-ohio-state-buckeyes-arrested-operating-vehicle-intoxicated Quote Link to comment
SandhillshuskerW
Right now on Sportscenter they are saying he will just miss the Minnesota game, so I'm guessing they will be just fine. Quote Link to comment

True2tRA
Cardale Jones: "Hello, Police.....yes I'd like to report a possible drunk driver. I think it's J.T. Barrett from Ohio State". Police Dispatch: "Can you give us an approximate location on the suspected drunk driver?" Cardale Jones: " Yeah, last time I saw him he was on the corner of 6th and You Ain't Takin' my Mother Truckin' Startin' Position from Me Lane". Police Dispatch: "We'll get a unit headed that way. Good luck this weekend Cardale" 2 Quote Link to comment

Michiganball
They will be fine, it's just one home game with Minnesota. There are others who are more then passable to replace him for a game. Quote Link to comment
mrandyk
Urban really stepped up the punishment and revoked his scholarship for the Summer 2016 term. Quote Link to comment
Coqui
Urban really stepped up the punishment and revoked his scholarship for the Summer 2016 term. Seeing as the standard punishment is nothing, a suspension and a quarter without a tuition is at least something. Quote Link to comment
nic
I wonder if there was something to Jt not starting this season? That punishment suggests there was a problem before this happened.. Quote Link to comment
jaws
This is the standard dui punishment for urban at OSU. I think this surprised everyone on the team including the coaches. http://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2015/11/62528/urban-meyer-jt-barrett-has-forfeited-scholarship-for-current-semester-can-earn-it-back Quote Link to comment
nic
I read he lost his summer term. Not as bad as I thought. Quote Link to comment
NUance
Urban really stepped up the punishment and revoked his scholarship for the Summer 2016 term. Seeing as the standard punishment is nothing, a suspension and a quarter without a tuition is at least something. I thought it was a surprisingly harsh punishment. I mean, DUIs happen all the time to college football players. And to college students in general, really. As much as I jokingly bag on Urban Meyer, I have to admit that he really is a man of character. He represents tOSU well. Quote Link to comment
Coqui
Thing is, this was an OVI, not even a DUI, which the title of this thread was misleading. He was fined, but not arrested as there's no jailtime associated with an OVI Quote Link to comment
