Not with 1 out, Nebraska can't/won't get a clutch hit with 2 outs. I disagree.. on the first part EDIT: you always bunt before 2 outs, or that is the right time to do it. Oh wait, never mind I see what you meant... Up to the players to make plays Yeah, i'm guessing the coaches spend all those hours teaching the kids to get into position but then don't cover closing. Up to the players to make plays Like mentioned, the coach is responsible for everything! If players are not executing, that is coaching, if pitchers are not pitching.. that is coaching! Players are still responsible too if not executing on what they are taught. Not like coaches can go out there and hit or pitch for players. I'm not saying coaches aren't responsible, I'm saying players are as well. Don't blame coaching for everything. Very true.. but who recruited those players? The coach! if you are recruiting players that are mentally weak, or who are not coachable, then you have a recruiting problem so in recruiting you just go to the best players and tell them they are the best and you get them.
