huskerfan2000
I have a feeling that is what we will see more of this year! Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
I'm sure every quarterback through history was 20-20 with 20 TD's during their first padded practice of the season. 4 Quote Link to comment
khaake
I'd be much more interested in what he does the 2nd and 3rd time in full pads. I'm not too concerned about the first time out. 1 Quote Link to comment

I played football and I played QB, you don't forget how to throw year after year. Aside from that, this post is kind of stupid because nobody said he had to be 20-20 with 20 TD's 4 Quote Link to comment

Is this his first time in pads, every? Do you believe he just came into practice without throwing the football since last year? Quote Link to comment

Someone that watched practice said one a WR/RB tipped to DB and the other one the WR didn't come back at all on a hitch and Jones stepped in front. 2 Quote Link to comment

Usually, though, 7 on 7 gives the QB some time. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
the only surprise here is the injury to Ivey........ 2 Quote Link to comment

See what he does over the next couple of times out. If his completion rate is still less than 50% with a 25% interception rate, I'll be concerned. But not after eight attempts. Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
There has been plenty of discussion on Armstrong struggling yesterday in the Fall Camp QB Competition thread. 2 Quote Link to comment

Well, it isn't really a small sample size, he is a senior, not a Freshman. He has had a few years of sampling to select from. All of which show he is NOT a good passer, at least not when there is pressure. 1 Quote Link to comment
Redux
I would be less concerned about his first practice with pads IF I didn't "fondly" remember watching him play against Iowa last year. 1 Quote Link to comment
Redux
I would be less concerned about his first practice with pads IF I didn't "fondly" remember watching him play against Iowa last year. I fondly remember his game against UCLA, Minnesota, BYU, Wisconsin, and even Michigan State. You should focus on all the positives instead of insisting on the negatives. Those positive games only make a difference if games like Iowa don't happen. Honestly, Tommy is a hell of an athlete and has all the tools to run this system. But is there actually one person on this board who is compeletly confident in what he will give us this year? 2 Quote Link to comment
