Danny Bateman
Add another Goldman Sachs guy to the pile. This time is the president of GS to be the direct of his National Economic Council: http://thehill.com/policy/finance/310021-trump-selects-goldman-sachs-president-as-top-economic-adviser Link to comment
zoogs
The background delta between Rick Perry and Ernest Moniz for Department of Energy is staggering. 2 Link to comment
Whistlebritches
So, Rick Perry to the Department of Energy. He will be replacing an actual nuclear physicist. Where are all the best people? WTF Link to comment
Danny Bateman
Obligatory: This kind of sucks. I seriously doubt Rick Perry has any interest at all in exploring renewables. And nah, these aren't the best people. Was Mike Pence the best VP candidate? A crappy, unpopular Indiana governor? Unfortunately, these are merely the best people in Trump's orbit who would work for him. Link to comment

NM11046
Oh Lord, please tell me he isn't going to be in his administration. You beat me to this. Can you frickin' believe this? He's too busy to have a press conference to discuss how he will be divesting (or hiding) his business interests but he's got time for this nut job? Unless they're comparing psych meds and how to deal with high maintenance wives there is NOTHING these two have to discuss right now. This is asinine. 1 Link to comment

C.Rice, B Gates, D Cheney for. zoogs
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/13/us/politics/rick-perry-energy-secretary-trump.html More on the energy secretary. Obama's first pick Steven Chu is a Nobel-prize winning physicist who had directed the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and a past and current professor at Stanford. Ernest Moniz served as undersecretary of energy during the Clinton administration and a longtime MIT professor whose research focus was in nuclear physics. The Dept. of Energy is responsible for the United States nuclear weapons program, radioactive waste disposal, and energy-related research among other things. Rick Perry most famously forgot that the Dept. of Energy was the third agency he wanted to scrap as President during his failed 2012 bid. "Oops." Link to comment
NM11046
It just struck me that I'd honestly be more comfortable with the entire cast of Madam Secretary taking positions in this cabinet rather than who's been picked. Link to comment
