Yeah I really think that it hit Frost about 3/4 of the way through last year that without the physicality, he couldn't just do what he did at UCF and score 50 in conference games. The emphasis on the strength program combined with the speedsters at the skill positions is in my opinion going to take this program to the highest level it could possibly reach in the Big Ten. You think it took Scott frost 9 games to figure out he couldn't score 50+ points per game in conference? 3 Quote Link to comment

Let me answer your question with a question: Do you typically see 30-50 feral hogs in Minnesota on any given day? 1 Quote Link to comment

I'm not sure where you're headed with that but I was just trying to understand your comment about scoring points. Quote Link to comment

Watch the movie Friday Night Lights and the backup RB is called waterbug by Boobie Williams, he ends up being fast, shifty and can run. Quote Link to comment

It will be fun to watch but when it doesn’t work, and can’t keep the sticks moving, it can be disastrous if your defense isn’t up to par. So, every offense..... Quote Link to comment

I don't believe that Frost took what he did at UCF in the AAC and immediately thought he could duplicate the same scoring explosion in year one at Nebraska in the B1G with a depleted roster and then was caught off guard 3/4 of the way into the season when it didn't work. 4 Quote Link to comment

If you can’t move the ball in an 8 possession offense, doesn’t make it any worse if it’s a 12 possession offense. Quote Link to comment

I’ve posted the first year production stats multiple times and it’s not favorable at all to Big Ten defenses. Quote Link to comment

Texas Tech’s Peak had undersized, quick lines. Oregon was undersized. Many schools wanted small to be fast. Then they ran into big and fast. Couple that hat with the ability to snap the ball every 8 seconds. Different Quote Link to comment

In Frost's introductory press conference, when asked how he was going to have to modify his system for the B1G he responded, "I think the question is how the Big Ten is going to have to modify their system for us." In the post-game press conference after Iowa, and this is almost a verbatim quote, Frost said, "I mean no disrespect to Iowa with this comment, but I looked across the 50 yard line at the other team and I couldn't believe that Iowa had a bigger, stronger football team than Nebraska." Your point about the depleted roster is excellent and none of that is lost on me, and I'm damn sure it wasn't lost on Frost, either. But my overarching point definitely stands. 1 Quote Link to comment
