ttheKid1*18
Rivals said that he was not at practice and that they dont know were he is. Hope that he can get his head on strait and have a shot to make this up to his teamates. He wasn't there again today? Man if this is true, he might just get kicked off the team. Quote Link to comment
husker rob
on the blogs of LJS Steve Sipple says that he has missed practice again today and Callahan has not talked to him yet. Callahan did say that he talked to Becks stepfather but didnt elaborate on what they talked about. here is a copy of the Blog Beck absent again; Bowman out for year Harrison Beck on Sunday missed his second straight practice. Coach Callahan hasn't talked to the quarterback since he left camp Saturday. However, the coach said he talked to the player's stepfather. "Harrison is OK from what I understand," the coach said. "I'm anxious to see him return if he comes back. I'll visit with him, and I'm looking forward to that. I'm hopeful he makes the decision to come back." "He's a young guy, and we're certainly here to help him." Asked if he would welcome Beck back to the team, Callahan said, "We look at everything case per case. But that's up to Harrison. It's Harrison's choice and decision." Quote Link to comment

DaveH
Yea, I guess Callahan talked to his step father. Hasn't spoken to Beck himself. Quote Link to comment
rawhide
Man up bud. I mean HB not you Dave. Quote Link to comment
DaveH
Man up bud. I mean HB not you Dave. No doubt. This is getting kind of dumb. Two days? Can you come back from two days with no word? What's the locker room like after that? You're killing me, Beck. Killin me. Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
Grow the heck up. Pull your self up by your jock and tell the coaches your side. This whole thing with just disappearing is a bullsh*t cop out! Quote Link to comment
motorboatjonesNU
He is only 18. You can't just tell him to go, and boot him off. I've read John Wooden's book "My Personal Best," and he warns against such rash judgement calls. However, HB probaby needs to apologize to ZT (and the whole team) in front of the team, even though it was his Mom who said those commetns. Fro those comments, one can only surmise HB has been a bit coddled. HB needs to realize he's got to work hard. During fall camp, the depth chart chagnes quite a bit- moreso than during the regular season. Quote Link to comment
husker rob
I wonder if Becks parents told him to go back in and talk to the coaches and work things out or told him to come on home and we will get you into another school. Quote Link to comment
DaveH
Who knows. It's just odd that both him and his family seemed to be so enamored with Callahan and Co, then to have this happen and to have a complete fallout doesn't seem right. Quote Link to comment
huskerfan8
well atleast witt will be here for spring ball next year..he will have a good chance at starting if beck does not come back and at this point i hope he doesnt becuase Callahan doesnt need to put up with his bull and it sounds like he was the immature 1 in the past Quote Link to comment
husker rob
I dont know if this means anything or not, but someone posted on another thread something about someone buying alcohol for HB. I am wondering if after seeing that he was #4 on the depth chart if he went out on a bender feeling sorry for himself? I dont wat this to start a bunch of wild theories but I was just wondering Quote Link to comment
