But it would seem that we also need to bring an ILB backside to help cover. Reimer doesn't even get blocked and doesn't get near it (except that he ran himself into traffic). Quote Link to comment
Mavric Posted September 9, 2022 Author Share Posted September 9, 2022 Probably just a good play by the DE on the first one, though Benhart could probably have gotten to him faster and at least got a shove. Manning needs to squeeze the second one more. It definitely qualifies as "creative" but we do a lot of work for a play that was only going to get a couple more yards even if we get those blocks. The reason for all the calls for it was Frost clearly couldn't fix it with what he was doing, so having a dedicated guy couldn't hurt, and it hasn't hurt so far. Personally I don't care if you have a coordinator or not, just get it done, but Frost can't get much of anything done so it really doesn't matter much at this point for Nebraska anyway. 1 Quote Link to comment
