BigRedBuster
Ok. I love thinking Thinking about the relationship between music and what is happening socially in the country. It is really is an interesting relationship. So...my question is....what song best represents your thoughts or opinions of the 60s. GO!!!!! 2 Quote Link to comment
JJ Husker
There are so many songs that instantly transport me to the 60's it's hard to come up with a definitive example. But here are the first two that popped into my head. Fortunate Son- CCR Signs-Five Man Electrical Band (but I do like the Tesla version better) Or pretty much anything by Crosby Stills and Nash or Creedence 2 Quote Link to comment
knapplc
The Beatles really dominated the decade, and this is maybe my favorite Beatles song. JJ Husker
A couple more This one may be the most definitive IMO I could go on all day with music from this era. 2 Quote Link to comment
JJ Husker
And then of course there were the defining moments of music festivals. First there were the 3 days of peace exhibited at Woodstock. Wanted to link Jimi's Star Spangled Banner & Purple Haze but MLB beat me to it. And then the mayhem at Altamont, due to the bad decision to have the Hells Angels provide security, to end the decade. 1 Quote Link to comment
