  2. Absolute bullsh** performance. I don't care about not starting Sears on 4 days rest, but good god, the at-bats were terrible as ever.
  3. I've been looking for this J Gilbert recipe for the longest. It's my wife's absolute favorite and her go-to everytime we go to J Gilbert's, which is her favorite restaurant solely for this dish alone. Thanks for sharing
  4. There's ample evidence in most polling taking place. Simply dismissing it to fit your narrative doesn't make your opinion true. There is no evidence that Biden is going to sail to victory, outside of hefty amounts of copium and voters unable to reconcile just how stupid and ignorant American voters are. Betting markets are currently pricing in an assumed Biden comeback/incumbency advantage, improved inflation numbers, and economic resilience that combine to give his odds 50%. All of those things may never materialize. Betters are assuming they will because all of those things usually happen. If the election were today, he'd face a catastrophic loss. I'd guess his situation improves by election day to 'close loss'.
  5. You're arguing against your own point. You're claiming that a modern fighting force can't repel a generation-old military with modern tactics and support. History shows this is wrong. The Colonies, aided by one world power, repeled the world's deadliest army and won freedom for a young America.
  6. The Huskers don't deserve a top 2 seed. At most a 3 seed... The way they've performed over the last month, especially in the midweek is exactly why they were picked 5th in what is a very mediocre baseball conference. 15 - 2!! What a flippin JOKE!! Go Back to Lincoln Huskers!! Clear your flippin heads and maybe show a little reserve and effort and focus tomorrow but as it is now, don't waste arms. Win without wasting the bully or take another midweek loss, lick your wounds and focus up for the regional. That is "if" the last performances don't bounce you.

  9. You're kind of proving my point. Russia's assessment (and colossal intelligence failure) was that Ukraine was still the same old army during their invasion of Crimea. Even though the US and Europe have worked to drastically change Ukraine's military into a modern and highly competent fighting force since then. They didn't prepare for reality and it f#&%ed them big time. The initial invasion of a war is what sets the path for everything that follows. Which why the US's first goal is always to achieve air superiority and then move hard and fast on the ground. Russia had no concept of that and it cost them dearly. So again, their competency is a massive issue. Don't forget the US plowed through Afghanistan and Iraq, but became bogged down when they had to go house to house, door to door. Desert Storm never got to that phase because Bush Sr. didn't want to go for a regime change. I don't think any amount of the current support from the US, EU, et al is going to be enough to physically repel Russia. For starters they would need some stealth aircraft, way more aircraft in general, way more HARM missiles (and actually longer range that we don't have), several more patriot batteries, and way more drone manufacturing support. I think at best Ukraine can fight a stalemate for a decade unless something drastically changes. Which is fine I guess, but the American public isn't going to tolerate that. NATO needs an end goal in the next year or two or Ukraine will lose the western public's support. What happens in the US with the GOP isn't unique. There are similar populist movements in many EU countries as I'm sure you're aware.

  11. Meh, that’s just because our legal system isn’t equipped to deal with a pack of avidly corrupt a$$h@!es who just plain don’t give a f#&% what they break as Trump and his entire orbit represent. It doesn’t know what to do with them. Mueller, Garland, et al. treated them like any other organized crime organization was treated by the government and most stuck to SOP. If anything they were wary of being considered political actors so they were ultra cautious and probably exercised more restraint than they needed to, which is the opposite approach you need to use for utterly corrupt scumbags like these. When you combine concerns over being considered partisan with the offenders working the refs and weaponizing their rabid, moronic, violent following against perceived enemies, the justice system here is incredibly ill-equipped to deal with a political movement as openly corrupt and yet fervently supported as this one.
  12. Russia, a major world power (for argument's sake), can't defeat Ukraine, a minor country on the world's stage, because Russia's leadership is incompetent. Their initial foray was a disaster, which caused a stalemate. With a much weaker, less-equipped nation seeking to keep its freedom. Sounds like a story I heard once, from 1776.
  13. Most of the reason Ukraine has been able to hold off Russia is because the Russian leadership was so incompetent and there initial invasion was a complete disaster, causing a stalemate of WWI proportions. I completely agree that NATO is far and away superior to Russian forces. I think Putin also agrees, which is why he isn't pouring his best into Ukraine. It would leave him completely vulnerable to a NATO attack. He also has to worry about China seeing him as weak on the Eastern borders.
  14. We're just accepting your words at face value. Should we not? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
