  1. I just gotta interject here since David Shaw was getting drilled for being too simple/conservative/predictable and losing to USC. I mean, they went all Ferentz.: 4th and 22 at USC 29 Ben Rhyne punt for 29 yds for a touchback I'd still back the Brinks truck up in a heartbeat to get him or Roman. Roman? Roman Reigns
  2. Is there a place on yourtube that tells me how many times I've listened to 'All About That Bass' in a day? Asking for the wife...

  3. Just promoted to the next officiating level, you'll surely see me at a Big Ten game soon.

  4. I don't get what the reporters want out of the coaches during these press conferences. Do they really expect the coaches to tell them exactly what they are working with each player on at practice? And this little nugget. "College coaching isn’t really about scheme." Really?
  5. I also thought Finnin was working the right side, did something happen that they moved him to the left and moved him ahead of Knevel?
  6. Just don't see any 'OR's on there, not sure how serious to take it.
  7. Blaming him for lack of receiver depth is a stretch for me. Now lack of TE play, in his O is on him. I think it also hurts recruiting when a potential guy sees the lack of integration into the system. Our receivers have been nails the past 2-3 years with Fish. Injuries are killing us. I truly have no idea what injuries happened to Reilly and Burch, but we need them back ASAP. I thought I saw Burch in last week, but could have been mistaken. Hope they are healthy and have been getting into "game shape" so physically they are ready. Not an excuse (well kind of), but it has to hurt our passing game when we have a triage of receivers in the game i.e. guys who are 2's in practice suddenly become 1's in the game with little practice time between QB and WR. My post was more in regards how far away from the topic the conversation had strayed. Seems like many posters have found the person to blame for when any little thing goes wrong, at least Obama is off the hook now.
  8. The unfortunate results of our mishaps are on US The unfortunate mishaps of their 3 drops-guys running WIDE OPEN-are also on us. Either way, the end results are the only things that really matter.
  9. I thought we already had a blame Beck thread going? Receiver depth is also his fault?
  10. Easy way to cure the 'yips'...Put all your change in your right pocket, tie your left shoelace in a double knot, turn your hat around backwards and put a blue tee behind your right ear.
  11. Lets say in this alternate universe where the running back did catch the passes and gained massive yardage and scored additional touchdowns for McNeese State. Can we also pretend that our offensive line blocked better, Cotton didn't make the 2 penalties and Armstrong didn't throw the pick near the goal line so we still win? I'll sleep better tonight if I can at least believe we win even if the other team played better.
  12. Since I usually add them all as they happen, and after watching the game one or two more times, I have generally had just as fresh of a perspective on past quarterbacks as I have on this last weekend's, so I don't tink that's necessary. How about just for arguments sake?
  13. 48 hours later...we still won, time to move onto Fresno St.
  14. Maybe we should go back and watch the tape on some of the other QBs that are the graveyard? Maybe some of their stats were hurt by drops and they should be exhumed.
  15. Looking on the brightside... Tyler Bolfing & Daniel Sims, McNeese State, September 6, 2014 - 12/26 (46.2%) - 160 yards - 0 TD, 1 INT
  16. I've listened to Hardcore History so much that I now read everything in the voice of Dan Carlin, makes my life much more dramatic.

  17. Being last in passing (per attempt) isn't surprising considering how much we run the ball and we didn't complete a great percentage. That would be the number I'd like to see go up. We don't need to throw it a lot but we need to be efficient when we do. I think we can be higher in rushing yards per attempt but it's not out of line for how the year went last year. Agreed but the team was also last in 'efficiency'. Look at Minnesota, they threw less than and had the worst percentage completed but were 6th in yards per attempt and had a higher efficiency. If they get better and passing, running the ball will be easier.
  18. While it's nice to hear Fyfe's name get thrown around, it is equally disappointing not hearing Stanton's name. I was listening to this. Bo did mention Stanton's name as well, you can only do so much with 140 characters.
  19. Conference play stats... Rushing Offense http://www.cfbstats.com/2013/leader/827/team/offense/split07/category01/sort02.html Passing Offense http://www.cfbstats.com/2013/leader/827/team/offense/split07/category02/sort04.html Bigger concern? 4th in the conference in running the ball or last in passing?
  20. Did you even read the previous posts? but here is the link again....This is for all of college football but has the Nebraska injuries on there too. Along with Suspensions. http://www.donbest.com/ncaaf/injuries/ Good God - look at Texas's list. Strong is cleaning house.
  21. Taylor completed 60% of his passes that day. His receivers averaged 9.7 yards per reception. What good does that do when the opponent can just play single high all game? You cannot concede "bend but don't break" ability in the name of a respectable completion %, IMO. And that, at times in the past few years, seemed to be exactly what we were doing. Then we look back at the end of the year and say, "hey, look at all these great numbers. Our offense was not the problem." But the offense has been a far cry from a cohesive, consistently dangerous unit. Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers.
