  1. Wow what an ignorant comment. You guys criticizing a guy, who did nothing but give his heart and soul to Nebraska Football, should be ashamed of yourselves. A little pudge in the lower abdomen is GENETICS. Which also has no reflection on what Austin's actual over-all body fat percentage might be. And sometimes coaches do like a Safety to carry a little extra weight since a lot of times they have to come up and make tackles like a linebacker. And he has also been timed at 4.54 seconds, in the 40, so it obviously hasn't affected his speed. So his body fat percentage is IRRELEVANT to how he played the game. Your comment is more ignorant than mine. You're assuming I care what body fat he's at. All I did was respond to the other guy.
  2. Please, that has nothing to do with genetics. His body fat percentage is pretty damn high for a collegiate football player who plays Safety and is supposed to be one of the faster guys on the field.
  3. Any particular reason? I don't remember him getting into much trouble or anything. I thought he was a little underutilized if anything. Mostly his attitude. I'll leave it at that.
  4. Not a huge fan of Mike but I'm happy for him.
  5. This kid is going to be special. Does he have the tools to come in and play right away?
  6. Southern Miss scares the crap outta me. I could see us coming out flat and having to come from behind.
  7. I actually don't mind that Green didn't redshirt. He got a lot of reps in practice and now he knows what he has to work on to excel at this level. Same with Abdullah. The only back I would've liked to see redshirt was Braylon Heard... that injury was the perfect excuse to give him a medical redshirt. With that said, I understand why he wanted to play and I doubt burning ANY redshirts will come back to haunt us.
  8. Not yet, but I think he can be. That's one reason why I'm so frustrated with how this season's played out.
  9. I'd have a hard time doing anything with those cheerleaders dancing in front of me like that.
  10. I don't blame Cody Green for transferring at all. He's got a right to be pissed off; the staff constantly put him in situations to fail. As for Brion Carnes, it's on him if he decides to leave. I don't care who's in his ear telling him to transfer, it's ultimately his decision. A lot of this stuff is hearsay and it's sad to see some Husker fans bashing Cody Green, who just a year ago was a model citizen and what many called a "True Husker."
  11. Says who? I don't see any of them transferring, but I could see Heard/Abdullah, whoever gets beat out, switching to defensive back.
  12. Damn. This was the one guy I was most excited to see next season. Kid is a special player. Please stay on!
  13. Cool story. It's pretty interesting that Whaley wasn't seeing the field because of his grades. Good for Bo.
  14. Can't the coaches think of a formation where Ameer is the only guy returning kicks?
  15. Do you guys think there's any chance Turner moved back to quarterback and that's why he hasn't seen as many reps at wide receiver? There have been rumors all season of Carnes transferring. If he has indeed told the coaches he's going to leave would that explain why Turner's disappeared?
  16. Sort of. I expected us to go through a couple rough patches this season, but I can't help but think there's a deeper problem with this program and why guys just plain aren't showing up everyday to play. We have the talent to compete, but has that EVER been the reason we weren't elite? Seems to me we've lose the majority of our games because we can't beat ourselves.
  17. Just so you all know, Okafor is a pre-med major and has done extremely well academically. Yeah, he hasn't panned out on the football field, but he's represented the University well.
  18. I think Bo's got it in him to lead us back to relevance, but at this point I'm just frustrated with the lack of growth we've seen from the team. Hell, this team has regressed. 1. Discipline 2. Heart 3. Fundamentally sound football. We haven't seen any of that. Furthermore, Bo is NOT learning from his mistakes. He hasn't developed depth this season and half our roster is in the doghouse. It's time for Bo to man up, look in the mirror, and fix what's wrong. If he doesn't do that within the next year or two he's not going to last.
  19. If an adult wants to act like a 5-year-old on twitter than so be it.
  20. After this week's performance we could've had a Texas A&M like favoritism and we still would have lost.
  21. It's just some guy who claims to have inside information from the north stadium. I doubt it's legit.
  22. I don't think Bo should be fired, but at this point I'm just sick of the political bullsh#t. We don't play the guys who give us the best chance to win, period.
  23. Our cornerbacks, save for the beginning of the season, have been fine. Dennard's returned to form and Green is slowly coming into his own. Even Evans looks more comfortable. If our safeties were in the right spots they would look even better.
  24. I love how Taylor's progressed as a passer and game manager, but at some point you have to question whether he's the right guy to lead us back to relevance when his best attribute, speed, is easily contained. He just isn't the runner he used to be.
