  1. Angelo Altavilla, 2015 recruit. 3rd recruit for this class, GBR!
  2. No argument that in most workplace environments you would be canned. However, he was allowed to remain in school and was just banned from the halls. Therefore, this would have needed to happen on the initial incident in my opinion.
  3. So I assume he can take online courses since he is only banned from campus. I never took online courses so I'm not sure the specifics of them. This would really be his only option to continue to be at Nebraska unless he just did nothing for a year. But he would have to go a full year of training outside the athletic facilities. I think it would be in his best interest to go elsewhere. Which is unfortunate, as it seems he did everything he was suppose to and is being punised on a misunderstanding.
  4. Would fans on here be happy if we fired Bo and got Sark to replace him? If this is the best USC could do, looking good that Nebraska kept Bo.
  5. Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year, NE sees him at 3B or 1B, however, he may pitch a little as well. Another nice pick up by this staff!
  6. Thanks for the updates, keep them coming!
  7. This would make most sense to me, as both teams are on the road. Winning in someones ballpark should be worth more than winning at a neutral field.
  8. I hadn't seen this anywhere, so if I missed it I apologize. Per @danhoppen NU secured a commitment from Elijah Dilday a 2014 infielder.
  9. Lamb and Tuna Fish or Law and Order
  10. That quote is way off, says 88 mph on Rivals. Has a 12-6 curveball and change-up as well. Thanks for the info, Nexus!
  11. Thanks grandpa! That was the first game I ever went to, never will forget the first play from scrimmage.
  12. I tend to agree with this the most. I keep hearing that there is not enough talent on defense to stop anyone. I just don't see how this is true. Pelini's first two classes were a little short on talent but not as much as what is showing on the field IMO. There might not be as much talent as one would hope but the "cupboards are not dry." The defense gave up more yards to the Buckeyes then UCF, Cal, UAB, and MSU did. The defense also gave up more yards to UCLA then Rice (not much), Houston, OSU, CU and Cal. Now some of those teams have arguably more talent than the Huskers on defense, but not many of them. Hopefully Pelini can find "It" again, keep the faith, GBR
  13. I wouldn't mind playing Oklahoma a couple times, but not on a consistent basis. We need the games in CA, TX, and FL to appeal to recruits nationally and get our coaches out to those states during the season. Also, if we can play in those states recruits are able to get to the game and view Husker Nation's support for the team.
  14. I think the Huskers will win this one but a couple things make me nervous and could see Wisconsin pulling off the win. 1) Wisconsin's defense looks pretty good and it will be the best we have seen so far 2) Nebraska's defense at times struggles to stop the run 3) Under Pelini we always seem to lose one at home that we shouldn't Hopefully it will be an exciting game and the Huskers can get the win.
  15. I'm very glad for him. I'm not saying we can offer every kid from Nebraska, that's not the point. My point is that we missed on a kid that in high school 50 miles down the road who had some legitimate athletic ability. Instead, we have guys on our team with much less ability out on the field. Just pointing out that talent is available to us. If he can play at Oregon he could definitely play for this team. Of course it looks like Nebraska should have offered him now. Look at his Rivals page: 5.2 rating, 2 star, 10th best player in Nebraska in 2009. If we would have offered him everyone would have been asking what is Bo doing. I'm glad for him, but can't blame the staff for not offering though.
  16. I was looking at all of Bo's recruiting classes before coming onto the board today. I noticed the exact same thing. 2008 and 2009 had a lot less talent than I had orginally thought.
  17. What if Nebraska was to stop with the up tempo offense? I know it puts up the points (when it's clicking) but it also puts the defense back on the field faster, and is this a good thing? If the offense would go back to running the football more I feel this would help. It would be interesting to look at the time of possession; my bet is UCLA had a huge advantage with this. Also, if the Huskers run the ball more they won't allow the other team's offense to get in rhythm as easily.
  18. Dont need breakaway speed to be an effective runningback. Give me ball security, vision, and toughness before breakaway speed imo. Agreed, see Emmit Smith Note: I am not by any means comparing him to Emmit Smith
  19. I wish the young man well no matter where he ends up. In my opinion, he was obviously frustrated about being moved down to the second team. As HuskerInOkieland pointed out he started last year for a couple games due to necessity. There is a reason no offensive lineman at Nebraska has started as a true freshman before, and obviously there have been a lot of good ones. I can only believe this boosted his ego, as it would for me. Then you come out this year and are running with the seconds and this is a major blow to that same ego. Add this to the fact that his GF lives in Florida and you have the makings of someone feeling that Nebraska isn't for them any more. I can't argue that Barney (who I'm not a fan of) doesn't seem to develop the offensive line talent but we do have two more coaches helping as well. I also, can't argue that we have had quite a few transfers/quittings from what many believe are the better prospects. As HuskerFowler pointed out every school goes through these transfers/quittings every year. We notice ours a lot more due to us following the team so closely. This does hurt our depth and who knows if Moore would have been the next great lineman at Nebraska. Here is to the other players stepping up and making the most out of this situation. GBR Note: This is assuming that the internet and facebook postings are true and he truly is leaving Nebraska
  20. I am a huge Rex fan but Ball is the better back no doubt. I don't think Rex would have put up the numbers Ball did if he played behind that line. He would have put up huge numbers but not quite as big as Ball. IMO
  21. Perhaps we're seeing the first wave of answers to last month's question, "Will teams schedule tougher opponents so they will make the playoff?" Does this mean the PAC decided that it's more important to get to 11-1 than to reach 11 or 10 wins with a quality SOS? Everybody wants 7 home games. That becomes more difficult when you play a 9 game regular season and have a home and home with another BCS school. Much easier to schedule a smaller school and guarantee a home game or even two. This is exactly right. It's all about economics. That extra home game brings in too much cash to switch it out for a larger school who would want a home/home series.
