  1. Smith and Wesson and Rugers stock prices have tripled since 2012. Obama has been the most gun friendly president ever, and Clinton will like continue that.
  2. So once again nothing, and I'm pretty sure getting through a more liberal Supreme Court would produce a pretty large change.
  3. Just forget this topic exists unless you're going to add something with substance. This is the crap that's made this election unbearable.
  4. That is fair, however as a Senator and Secretary of State her accomplishments aren't going to be headline type things. From what I've seen it appears she had her hands on several different things that were a team type accomplishment. At that level there is no individual accomplishments.
  5. I keep hearing people say Clinton is a horrible candidate and anyone but Trump would of easily beaten her. I'm having a hard time though figuring out why she's a horrible candidate. She's easily the most qualified candidate I can remember. She's been in the public eye for over 20 years and really has no secrets anymore. I want to know why she's so bad. John Oliver had an excellent piece that discussed the Clinton Foundation, Benghazi, and the emails and after going through congressional reports and all official documents regarding these "scandals" could not find any wrongdoing. There were things that looked bad, but the facts did not support these amounting to scandals. So tell me why she is so bad. She obviously knows how to work in Washington and has a lot of attributes you'd want in a president. I want only substantive information that can be backed up with sources. I've seen all the Fox News BS so don't even start with that. Don't include anything with her policy ideas as that obviously depends on your political leanings.
  6. In 1992 I couldn't stand Clinton when he was running and I never liked him. Not that I was old enough to vote at the time. But how many of the accusations against him were even out at that point? Didn't Broaddrick come out with her story after Clinton started his 2nd term? And again, there's no more proof Bill did any of these things than Trump did. And for the millionth time, BILL ISN'T RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT. And no comment on Hillary defending a 41 year old man that raped a 12 year old girl and them trashed the girl claiming ahe wanted attention? Then years later Hillary laughed about the fact she knew he was guilty? She was an attorney doing her job, and she was laughing about how crappy the lie detector test was, years later. She also said the case was terrible. And regardless of that, you're comparing this to actually sexually assaulting someone and saying what Hillary did was worse. You really need to think about how crazy this is. So you would not have voted for Bill Clinton in 1992 or 1996 if you had the chance? There were other women who came forward before Broaddrick including Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, and some from the 1980s when he was governor. And I know Bill is not running, but HIllary played a role in enabling this sort of behavior. There are many accounts of folks who worked in the White House at the time discussing how Hillary tried to trash these women and lead the strategy to discredit them. Now if Hillary and Bill were not pathological liars, perhaps it makes sense to not believe multiple women as well as the staffers. Regarding her defense of the rapist, she was laughing about the lie detector test BECAUSE SHE KNEW her client was guilty and that she falsely trashed a 12-year old girl. There is audio evidence of this. Neither candidate is great for women, but acting like Hillary is a champion for women is ludicrous. You know a public defender is assigned and has to do their job right? She could have asked not to be put on that case. Her office wanted her on their because she was a woman and they felt it would be easier for a woman to discredit a little girl. And what defensible reason could she of given to be excused? In most people's jobs they have to do things they don't like. Doing their upmost best shows their dedication to the job.
  7. I just want to know what issue someone is going to protest that would be supported by everyone. Isn't the general idea of a protest is an injustice against the minority by the majority. Maybe they should protest cancer, everyone could support that. This has been about as non disruptive as a protest can get.
  8. Wish I could remember where I heard this from, but you have to think that slavery in this country was so bad that you just can't fix the after effects no matter what you do.
  9. Sure someone has some experience with this here. I found out about the government student loan forgiveness program where basically if you work for a government entity for 10 years and make all you payments your remaining loans will be paid off. I'm on the 10 year plan with my loans right now, so I would have to switch to the income based repayment plan which should reduce my payment and extend the timeline to 20 years. I'm two years in right now, and work for a state agency and basically plan on working for some state agency for the foreseeable future. I'm looking for some reason I shouldn't switch over. Anyone know anything about this?
  10. Ignore if the balloons degrade and if they kill wildlife. Several hundred balloons are released into the environment every week basically just for the hell of it. This is no different than your next door neighbor throwing a party and leaving all the trash all over the neighborhood. We need to be good stewards of the environment before being football fans.
  11. There's only one record that any player should be concerned about and that is W-L. None of the teams in the past 10 years ever put up a W-L record worth remembering, maybe they should have worried more about that than stupid weight room records.
  12. Christians shouldn't make Christian movies not because it'll offend someone, but because 9 times out 10 they suck.
  13. I maybe still young, but Obama's foreign policy and actions taken seem to be one of the most positive pieces of foreign relations/policy that I've seen. It's good to see a politician basically rise above the BS fray and work towards something that could be positive.
  14. What you say in a private conversation like this is the true measure of a person's character.
  15. I cut cable yesterday, of course they tripled my internet. Lousy crooks, 2 more months and I'm done with them completely.
  16. I'm making a move and transferring out my current office in a small town. I love the work and the office dynamics, but being young and single in a small town sucks. I'm going to an office with a great supervisor and decent work. The dilemma is living where the office is, which is a town of about 10K. Not a great town, but doable. Or I can drive 30 minutes and live in a town of about 100K which would have everything you want. In addition I'd be a little over a hour away from the Twin Cities. Can anybody give their experiences on commuting. I'm making the change mainly for quality of life so I want to maximize the change.
  17. O'Brien is no guarantee. If this guy has potential then why not pick him up. Once a recruit signs he's just another part of the program and has to prove himself. This will sound pessimistic, but I assume every recruit is a bust until they show otherwise and the coaches need to recruit that way.
  18. I'm pretty skeptical of conspiracy theories, but pretty sure the Broncos win this and Manning rides off into the sunset ala Elway.
  19. No it was a good call. Don't put your head down and go charging into a collision. If these players can't get this by now then it should decide games. Head hunting is no longer part of today's game, and it needs to go.
  20. They should be put on trial for treason.
  21. So, I interviewed for a job with a public agency. I had worked extensively with this agency during my masters work so I have quite a few connections and a good reputation. I know of all the other candidates through other sources. Only 4 did an in person interview, including me. The interview went well. I've got experience with a couple questions asked that the others do not. Evidently they called my current boss a couple days after the interview (I assume gave a good reference based on our conversation). Talking to my other references that was the only one they called. I had a friend who also interviewed and as far as we know my boss is the only reference thats been called. They were supposed to have a decision made last week, but my inside source said they're still waiting on a few details. I'm wondering if I'm there top choice and the extra time is because I'd be an external hire. I found it odd though that they'd only call one reference, however my other references work closely with the hiring supervisor so further reference checks may not be needed. I've been on the other side of a few of these hiring processes, and this one seemed odd to me.
  22. Maybe Muschsmp should of hired a couple of guys that could coach. Seeing as for all the talent his team had they couldn't do crap.
  23. Of course you had to bring race into it, you need to get over it, more white people are killed by cops than black people. Your martial artist argument is ridiculous as well, a person that knows how to use a knife can carve you up pretty damn quick, but I doubt your stubbornness to listen to that and your rage and race anger will allow you to hear that. Someone at 10-20 feet with a knife in their hand is quite obviously a threat to your life whether you want to believe that or not. That's the difference between training and keyboard warriors though. And my thoughts on the situation would apply to a black man, hispanic man, asian man, white man, etc. I don't have an opinion on this situation, I've went that way before and no matter what that doesn't end well. I'm simply relaying information. Of course more white people are killed by cops, this country is 63% white. The problem is black people make up 13% of the population, but 31% of shootings by police.
  24. Now what's the rest of the story. I'm guessing there is something being left out.
  25. It appalling how a wealthy minority can rig the system in this country anymore. Oh wait I guess that's ok. If they don't like it, then don't give the vocal minority the power in the first place, or don't cave to them.
