  1. Yea this is interesting, still think OSU will get their stuff together, but the clock is ticking.
  2. That no matter how hard the special teams tried to sabotage the game, they could not. Offense can put up some scary numbers. Martinez can put up some scary stats 25/29 for 276 yards and thats with a steady run game to boot.
  3. There were at least 3 questionable calls near the end of the game that were borderline at absolute best but given to NW, those won them the game by extending dead drives. Nebraska was the better team today, it sort of pissed me off watching that. So an extreme row of "home field" advantage calls in the end, even though you could only pretty much hear Nebraska fans.
  4. Well none of that matters, when you act like a non compromising jack ass, anything you do will eventually be overturned, there will be no Donnie the molester legacy in the end. And there sure as hell wont be much with he's name on it period, he's future there is a kin to a confederate statue. The only thing that will give donnie another term is if the ultra lefties keep on pushing their anti white male agenda, and let's be honest they do, there is an actual double standard presented to often, from various forms of affirmative action. This is one reason why this sleazy and toxic government is in power, lefties need to get a bit more centralized themselves or they will loose states they should not be loosing again.
  5. This team was a couple plays from 3-0, providing they played Akron. With Colorado they had 200 yards more of total offense and held them to just 44 rushing yards while rushing for 300+. There were several opportunities to win that game, but that 4th down unnecessary interference by a inexperienced defender blew the game. Instead of a 1st&10 Nebraska and running out the clock, it was another score for Colorado. No idea what happened with the Troy game, Martinez being out was pretty big, but still, it's Troy. Same surprise at UM, for being so one sided. Till the Purdue game to me it was a matter of some bad circumstances and mental mistakes but when Purdue wins in your house you have some player problems. Frost needs he's own guys, maybe this crew is used to soda and canapes after a loss and dont like that there are no canapes, instead a pissed off coach. Actually watched a couple players joking around and laughing during the blowout, thats not the right mentality, Still dont get this buying into Frost, there is nothing to buy into, he is a coach, just maybe not the canapes after a loss type
  6. Yep this is a click bait self stroking "commentary" worth about as much as toilet paper. Really in a couple years UCF will slip back into obscurity as such teams always do, and let's not talk inviting them to a NC, look at their schedule, that is not anything resembling a challenge to actual contenders. As far as Frost or most other coaches, no their thicker skinned then to regret anything after a rough start. If anything it motivates them, never mind that he's back at he's Alma mater
  7. Well thats that, Illinois worked hard for 3 Q's. Yea also looking to the Wiscy@Iowa game.
  8. Think he will, with coaches emphasis on "slide" and run out of bounds. like others said here, he's not a Faberge egg. If he can run, he will, just has to be smart about it and not as reckless.
  9. Pig's flew, browns won.

  10. On one hand Martinez would help a lot, though he might worsen he's injury, on the other hand get him to110% for an easier game and likely win vs Purdue. It might come down to how much pressure Frost is feeling. I'm tilting towards Martinez starting, especially with him being "day to day".
  11. Hehe I was here for that and a fan before but he was more of a 9'er. Double digits or bust I say.
  12. It's not a matter of me liking the team, as I could dislike a coach. But it's just simple fact, unless Harbaugh has broken the laws of probabilities he is just that a good coach. You simply cant have a record like this being average, you cant win multiple NFL divisional championships and get to a Superbowl by coasting. Because hardly any coach will ever get there, never mind more then once in a lifetime, that is elite. Not to repeat myself, but on top of that do well with 3 different college teams. So Sticking to the point of my original response of Harbaugh being a good coach, I cant see how anything posted above along with the accolades he received is average as average is considerably lower having none of those achievements and sharing no similarity. The rest is a whole other topic and holds little interest atm as it is pure speculation..
  13. He has beat MSU but I agree he needs to have a winning record against them. Though it is much more difficult then it used to be, in the past MSU at best could have hoped for a Rose bowl once a decade if that. Now they are a much more difficult opponent to keep a 3-1 win ration against. And OSU, honestly if he cant beat them, doubt some other guy would, for recruits it's an en vogue place to go atm, as it is the place where "We Ain't Come To Play SCHOOL" (had to throw that in :D). So until the tap dries a bit it's a monumental task. Having said that, he does need to win some at home against them, that would do for any powers that be. For me any 10 plus season is good with a bowl win as a cherry on top, but I'm not sure this is going to be the year unless they open up that pass offense and give the qb time to throw. Speaking of, something I didn't mention in my small game analysis with Huskers is that Husker D could give UM's pass game a really hard time if UM goes in with the same plan as they did the last game. that aggressive D could have a good day Saturday.
  14. Kapernick? The guy who folded right after Harbaugh left? Kaepernick was the sole reason a team goes to THE Superbowl and multiple division championships in the NFL? There is no coaching involved, it just happens automatically? And Harbaugh just accidentally floated through coincidentally great years at San Diego, Stanford, San Francisco and Michigan? Well thats some incredible fortune for a non talented coach, he should have been a gambler in Vegas wit that sort of blessing. He's 4-5 vs ranked teams, not great not terrible, ranked home teams should win at home, so not sure why he is expected to win everywhere he's first three seasons. I cant complain like you, am fairly content with 2 10W seasons in 3. You dont have to like him, but you are being a bit unreasonable here.
  15. Anything can happen, UM lost to ND and ND seems pretty bad as they barely beat fluff teams. Now what really has to happen for Huskers to win is a perfect storm. A very mostly mistake free game, good amount of UM turnovers and an offense that put's up 24 plus points on the board. It's doable, get UM into a "muddy" slow game and there it is, sort of like UM SC bowl game last year. And UM right now has this overly run centrist mentality that plays into this type of game. Patterson has done rather well, but has hardly been used, only 18 pass attempts last game, will he be unleashed? who knows, not enough data really. UM defense is very good though, penalty prone, but have a feeling they will cut the interference crap after watching some film this week. I do think Huskers need Martinez as the new gent might get a bit shell shocked if the D starts getting through the O line. UM will definitely pressure a lot more then Troy, a lot. Running game may be hard for Nebraska, but again, if Martinez plays that would change the dimension and probabilities in this game, there are containment and over pursuit issues with UM's D. Anyway so many factors so little time. If Huskers win this, it would give a well needed boost and a positive perspective on where things are, if they loose, well, it was a difficult task to begin with. If UM wins it will be good but dependent on how they win, ugly win will not raise confidence, and if they loose, well s#!t....
  16. Ugly week, Might make for an interesting conference season though, cant say the same for the bowl season.
  17. Very self destructive team. 21 penalties in 2 games, loads of sacks and turn overs. QB needs better protection. Need Martinez back. Defense is actually pretty good, only 2 scores came from their offense. still aggressive so they will allow some big plays. They are the bright spot. Offense might have been also with the better QB. Really though, what a complete bummer that game was, did not expect this at all.
  18. Illinois and Purdue good chance of loosing. And yea OSU vs TCU should be a fun one
  19. I expected better also, and the wins were, let's just say not very convincing. Really some teams were pretty over rated, MSU, NW, UM and not sure on Penn state either. Still some good games ahead though.
  20. Could have won this easily without the turnovers, but it was that penalty at the end of the game that killed it. Defense is more aggressive and effective putting pressure on the QB. Offense looks more interesting. Much better look overall, if this team played their fluff game in week one it would have helped quite a bit.
  21. Nah you got the Rutgers game right. Really Nebraska had that game, that interference penalty at the end and prior that the turnovers sealed that game.
  22. Both seem Meh, ND barely got out of their fluff game with a win and UM lost to them.
  23. I cant figure out what the problem with Texas is, they seemingly have every advantage, money, great recruiting area, size. At this point I'm thinking it's something or someone embedded in the current culture of that program as there is nothing else tangible I can put my finger on.
  24. Wonder how much MSU is going to drop. Cant see them staying at 11 after this game. 16 or so, maybe lower?
  25. Yes that is very likely, but even as dominant they were last year, you can only do so much when the offense makes you work twice as hard and putting you in bad situations. We will see how that unfolds though, 1 day now, hard to believe. So, good luck everyone.
