  1. Should we be worried about Wisconsin in the Big 10 Champ. Game? We should be worried about Iowa and if we beat them, then yes, worry about Wisconsin. One should be worried about every opponent. Otherwise, complacency will get you one in the "L" column.
  2. Are you serious? The parents that "don't want to allow Bo in their living rooms" are probably the ones who raise spoiled little brats that couldn't spell the word discipline. I completely disagree with you here, because we have gotten some VERY good recruits and continue to get them. More games Bo wins, the more recognition he will get, the more we will have great recruits. Its hard to recruit when you are a first time head coach, unless your taking a successful program over. JHC, read here: Just being a little facetious here I was just adding a little humor to this thread. Now, you can crawl back on your bar stool!
  3. There used to be an old saying, "When Tom Osborne came into your living room on a recruiting trip, it was hard to say no to playing football at Nebraska." Now, I am sorry to say, from watching Bo's sideline antics, it would be hard for most recruits and parents to invite Bo into their living rooms. Maybe they could just meet him out in the driveway. Just being a little facetious here, but what one sees on the tube on Saturdays sticks in one's mind.
  4. Any word on his playing status? I am thinking he is out for the remainder of the year? Any information on this?
  5. I hope Rex is at full speed. Any news on his status?

I do. She is old though. You know the rules, pics of sis
  7. I was at the game. Happened right in front of me. No interference. JMO.
  8. Going to be sitting in lion's den. Got tickets in the Mich. St. booster club section. Should be fun! Flying out tomorrow.
  9. I disagree! Put the ball under his arm and then you can forget about pass blocking. He can also catch the ball. Cross has a lot to learn about blocking and he was out there. This is why I feel Pelini has a way to go as a head coach. He does not develop his talent. If you all recall the great years from the TO era, lots of kids saw time on the field, even in some of the close games. If they get a chance to get on the field, it serves as an incentive for them to work hard in practice and push the guys in front of the back ups. Then, everybody wins, including the team.
  10. Was Braylon Heard injured? I thought for sure he would get some significant playing time as the back up running back. I like this kid's running style.
  11. The person who was assaulted on the sideline needs to file the complaint. If she received a significant blow to have a bruise, pictures of the injury are always an absolute must. Have the victim go seek medical advice for the injury. Most importantly, get it documented. If the OP simply reports the situation, it will fall on deaf ears. This story needs to go to media outlets to get some attention and gain traction. Report it to ESPN, ABC and others. Also, the NCAA needs to get involved.
  12. Is Taylor Martinez as good as Braxton Miller and Denard Robinson? When the offensive line blocks well and does their job------Yes, he is as good.
  13. Just take a look at any modern stadium and you'll see two things, the suites are always lower in the stadium with seating on top, and the top of the stadium is pretty high. I really don't get the constant concern with the height of these seats. They aren't going to be any higher than any of the new pro stadiums out there. Ticket holders in the upper deck of the east stadium will be freezing their azzzzzzzes off when it is 40 degrees and a 20-30 mph NW wind. And, if it snows or rains............................?
  14. You snooze, you loose! Go on a crusade to convince all of your fans not to sell their tickets to fans who really appreciate the game of football. What a sad post!
  15. You play like you practice. Absolutely true!
  16. But, my criteria for Bo is for him to clean house on the inadequate coaches and replace them with folks who know how to recruit and how to coach their positions. Start first with Barney Cotton and then move on to get rid of Papuchis. Once I got to this point in your post, I didn't even read any further. Who care what your criteria is? Are the boosters, or the AD, or the Chancellor, or even the president of NU, calling you? The oline is improving. The defense has their moments. The position coaches all seem to be doing a pretty good job. Is there room for improvement? Sure. But firing coaches, especially now, will not fix that. Well, you should have read further! Otherwise, who cares what you think? As a head coach, you are only as good as those who are around you! And for Pelini, he struggles. Enough said.
  17. Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion. Just because you, and anyone else who is a Pelini fan, disagree does not mean someone else needs to be banned from this board. This is an open forum for everyone. I am not necessarily a Bo fan, and my support is fading fast. But, my criteria for Bo is for him to clean house on the inadequate coaches and replace them with folks who know how to recruit and how to coach their positions. Start first with Barney Cotton and then move on to get rid of Papuchis. I only agreed with the weasel, Lou Holtz, one time in my life. That was when he made the comment on national TV about Bill Callahan. (paraphrasing here) “The toughest thing for a coach is not recruiting or knowing the X’s and O’s. It is firing his friends and hiring competent coaches to replace them.” He was talking about getting rid of Kevin Cosgrove as defensive coordinator. I have not issued a definitive judgement on Pelini just yet, but he has to do something about this staff. It is painfully obvious to anyone who knows anything at all about the sport of football that there are some serious coaching eneptness. Example: I have coached for many years and cannot remember one time, from youth football to college football, where an offensive lineman was penalized for not being on the line or scrimage. And, it happened twice in one game last Saturday. How about the personal foul 40 yards behind the play? Or, the fumbles and dropped punts? Penalties and mental errors can be corrected and it starts with coaching. It keeps happening over and over each week. Pelini keeps talking about correcting these things but with no result.
  18. Move into his new house and get to know the neighborhood.
  19. Agreed! I think the timeline will not be met. However, Rex should have a say in the amount of carries and plays he is involved in. It is his knee and his future, not the coaches, that is at risk.
  20. Admit it. You bought that for your daughter just so you could post the pic. No sh!t. The pic is disqusting.
  21. Wasn't a huge fan of Frank but I will say this, his team is in the top 25 and NU is not. One thing for sure, and as a Nebraskan myself, I am embarrassed that Frank was treated so bad by the way he was fired. After all, he came here in the early sixties and had been part of the football culture here for so many years. Then, old Petie decided to start his own culture. I hope Frank runs the table and ends up in a really good bowl game. As for NU, we can only hope.
  22. BIGREDIOWAN, on 13 October 2012 - 11:44 PM, said: TAYLOR IS NOT THE PROBLEM!!!! THE DEFENSE IS!?!? WHY CAN'T SOME OF YOU GET THAT THROUGH YOUR ******* HEADS?! This is very true! Bo is the defensive genius, right?
  23. You put your trust in these two on a sports talk show? Don't hang your hat on that rack!
