  1. He's obviously ran out of people who are going to coddle him. Hopefully he realizes that and straightens his life up.
  2. I remember this being in a thread somewhere before the Oregon game but I can't find it. 1st 2nd 3rd 4th FS 7 7 7 22 WY 7 10 7 28 OR 7 7 14 7 21 24 28 57 I would love to get started off early against Northwestern and just put the game away. But, I also like seeing us score more points as the game goes on. It's an indication to me that we wear teams down. Now, Oregon was pretty even across the game. I hope as we get into the next 4 games, we start off strong and are able to still score more points in the 4th.
  3. All you have to do is look at his tax returns.
  4. No....this isn't because of his name. But, he has always reminded me of Tommie Frazier when running. Both of them are big bodied QBs that aren't the fastest guys on the field but have just enough speed and running instincts to make people miss and get yards. Armstrong is actually 15 lbs heavier than Frazier.
  5. Just 90,000? I'm assuming you think just the ones in the stadium on Saturdays care about this?
  6. Like I've said several times. Riley and company out coached Oregon.
  7. It has to come from THEIR "news" source. For instance, Trump supporters aren't going to believe MSNBC when they say he lies. But, if Fox were to report on it with facts and actual in depth good journalism, it would sink into at least a lot of his supporters. Same with MSNBC reporting on Hillary lying.
  8. I cringe when people say American industry shouldn't be involved in trade deals. Politicians can not be expected to understand all industries. For instance, the trade rules in our industry are pathetic and hurt both our industry and the American public. If congress would come to us, we would tell them out to fix it. But, they don't want to listen.
  9. I know of some people who are going to the Cubs game on Friday and the Husker game Saturday. That would be a fun trip.
  10. And...its been shown penalties is not a stat that is good indicator of a good team. They are irritating though.
  11. I know he's not a Husker....but....he should have been. I saw where Woodhead has a torn ACL and is out for the year.
  12. 5-1..... We only have 55 wins and 2 losses to go to match the run from 93-97. I'm all for it....LETS DO THIS!!!!!
  13. That really sucks for them and I hate to see it. Any word on Freeman and what his injury is?
  14. I will say she is pretty fun to watch play. I've watched a lot of Nebraska HS basketball in the last 10 years and have watched some very good boys players. She is the best pure shooter I have seen at this level including both boys and girls. It really is impressive.
  15. So he's as underrated as Louisville's Lamar Jackson? Sure. Riley just said he had the best game on the DL.... You can argue with me all you want, but when the HC agrees, maybe you should too? Saying he played the best game does not contradict anything that anyone in this thread has said. Do you feel like even though he is doing his job he has hit his ceiling? Considering he is basically half-way (practice-wise) through his fifth and final year, yes, I think this is probably his ceiling. His ceiling is looking pretty decent this year.
  16. Hopefully DPE this year will be the second coming form his freshman year performance. DPE looks great escaping the defenders when he caught the punt, but I was surprised he was caught. Has he lost a step or was that Oregon defender really fast? I'm not going to be concerned about him losing a step until we play teams with normal speed. Oregon is fast across the board. I don't know who caught him and how fast he is. I just know Oregon has some really fast players.
  17. This game reminded me of the Virginia Tech games. A good quality opponent with good talent. We obviously lost those games....we won this one.
  18. They are actually both quite good. Over last year and the beginning of this year, UCLA and Oregon have a combined win loss record of 21-11. We account for two of those losses. I'll take that as they were good teams.
  19. FYI...if we would get him to switch, it would propel our class ranking up to #18.
  20. In a really weird sort of way, I'm sitting here on Monday now nervous about the Northwestern game the same way I was nervous about the Oregon game. No, I don't see them as equal opponents. Now....I think these coaches are telling them the right things. Even before this game, they were saying how every win makes the next game bigger. With that attitude, that should tell the team this game is a really big game this week too. It should help them focus.
  21. I don't think it is necessarily the moderator's job to catch them in a lie. His/her job is to ask fair but probing questions and give all candidates an equal ability to answer questions to deliver their message. THEN...it is the news media's job after that to question their answers and challenge their validity. PS....and, it is NOT the news media's job to tell us who won the debate. It seems like they spend all their time trying to tell us that when that's up to US to decide. They are the ones who should be giving us the information about what was said so we can make that determination. It's not their job to back their candidate while trashing the other.
