  1. This. Probably off topic but one thing I dislike about our 'brand' is Adidas. I was looking to buy some husker gear because I don't have enough of the red variety so I went to the Adidas website to see what they had. 'Your choice of a black or red $300 jersey.' Don't get me wrong, they were nice but you'd think Adidas would have more items than jerseys. Looked around a couple other websites and bought a simple husker shirt with a big block 'N' on the front from eastbay. Maybe it's my fault but I just don't like the majority of Adidas' designs.
  2. So how tall is this guy really? Rivals lists him at 5'11, ESPN at 6', and Scout/247 at 6'1. Two inches can make a hell of a difference as a corner.
  3. I remember when the 'NCAA sanctions' were coming down and thinking Clarett must have done something really bad and was getting what he deserved. What a scumbag that AD was. I now have absolutely no respect for Andy Geiger and will root against any team he associates with.
  4. Yeah it's pretty poorly written and the stats given in some of categories make no sense. I just thought it interesting they put Bell on it after the year he had.
  5. Haha sorry. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1839327-br-cfb-250-top-24-wide-receivers-in-college-football
  6. There is 1 undefeated team in the BCS top 25 right now, that's number 1 FSU. The 5th ranked team has 2 losses. So please, explain to me how an undefeated Nebraska would not be in the top 4? Matter of fact, don't explain it, because I won't listen. You are wrong. I don't think he means this year. More of a hypothetical future situation. I think what he's eluding to is an undefeated SEC and an undefeated PAC team would be chosen for the NC over an undefeated B1G team, most of the time. I understand that he may have meant in the future. That's why my point is even more valid in the future. There will be a 4 team playoff after this season and I don't believe there's any chance an undefeated Nebraska gets left out of that 4 team playoff. Good point. Completely forgot about the playoffs starting next year. My apologies. +1

  8. I've been out of the loop the last couple weeks. Is he thinking about transferring?
  9. On another note, FSU has three wide receivers on the list.
  10. Hope this wan't already covered. Didn't see anything in the thread titles about this so if I'm wrong I apologize. Kenny Bell cracks BR's top 24 WR list at #22. Bell is a really good receiver who has taken more steps toward being a quality target in 2013. The junior works the underneath routes very well and understands how to use his body and burst. Matt Miller's NFL Draft Projection 5th Rd.—Doesn't have speed, explosive ability of a top WR. (Future projection) Edit- Here's the link. Sorry. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1839327-br-cfb-250-top-24-wide-receivers-in-college-football
  11. A 2-star LB and a (no star?) JUCO WR? I think you know what I meant and neither of those is it. IIRC, AA was a two star until December/January. He was bumped up to a three star after that. Wasn't that as a DB though? I thought he had an offer from Alabama to play Safety. I'm not sure but that's probable. His recruiting picked up pretty late. His OV came on Jan. 14 and he committed less than a week later. 'Bama didn't offer him until after his visit to Nebraska.

  13. Of those coaches, only three remain at their respective school. Saban at 'Bama Stoops at Oklahoma Brown at Texas -Who everybody in Texas wants gone. Two coaches (Saban at LSU, Carroll at USC) went to the NFL. The rest, besides Meyer, were either forced out or fired. Edit- Eyes must be failing me. Miles is also still at LSU
  14. This is the same as saying, no offense but....followed by an offensive remark. That doesn't make whatever was said less offensive. Rude. You're free to come on here anytime you want and state your opinions, but you don't have the right to berate others for theirs. Completely uncalled for. You brought up the race card. You simply could have said, 'I dislike the rap music they play before games, and since Nebraska is mostly small towns and country music is probably more popular, why not play more country?'
  15. What will the max capacity be after it's all done?
  16. How come you only put up 7 points and under 300 yards on Purdue? Give em credit. They scored 42 on Indiana. Err, nm. That aint exactly great either. LOL. And yet you guys needed a last second hail mary to beat an injury ravaged Northwestern team (winless in conference play) in Lincoln giving up 245 rushing yards and 3 TDs. Their 3rd string RB ran for 3 TDs and 195 yards (7.8 YPC) against you guys. So is your defense actually any good or not? For every mediocre offensive performance that you're pointing out by MSU, there's an equally bad one defensively by Nebraska. So Saturday should theoretically be a battle of who sucks less? I don't mean to argue with you, because your'e completely right. Our D has been a huge question mark. In NW's first two drives they piled up 150 yards, but after that, they only gained 161. What most of us are eluding to about your offense is the same thing you're saying about our defense; they're wildly inconsistent. Although, the NW and Michigan games would've been blowouts if not for two particular reasons- turnovers and penalties. In both games turnovers and penalties spurred our offense on promising drives while giving our opponents their only real chance at staying in the game. This has been true for NU as well as MSU. In conference play, we have been -9 in t/o margin (-5 in last two) while you have been +5. Our offense needs to stop the costly turnovers to score, while your defense needs them to give your offense a chance. Your defense is amazing, and they have to be. Your offense scores by attrition, sooner or later they will score. That's why I believe the turnover battle will be a, if not THE, deciding stat when it comes to who wins, or losses. If we are positive or at least neutral, we win. If we are negative, we lose.
  17. How come you only put up 7 points and under 300 yards on Purdue?
  18. Of Indiana's 92 rushing yards, 64 came on one play. So Indiana wasn't really able to establish a running game. Although, when Indiana put in Roberson (who is a more mobile QB) they did fair a bit better in the game and their offense seemed more efficient. Armstrong will have to be quick on is feet, make smart reads, and run if nothing is open because MSU is surely going to blitz all day.
  19. Maybe because this is the same defense that let perennial juggernauts Wyoming, SDSU, and Minnesota run all over us? Or maybe because Michigan has an even bigger problem with O-Line injuries than we do? Or because our defensive performance has been up and down more than a Texass Cheerleader on a Booster of substance? Take your pick, but respect is earned, not given. MSU has been more impressive this season so far. Once we beat MSU, the respect and hindsight will catch up accordingly. I do not disagree with the bolded sentence. You are 100% correct there. With that being said- 30 yards That's the difference in 2-0 and 0-2. Two late turnovers in two consecutive games. Two stops when we needed them most. We crumble in those 30 yards and we're fighting for a bowl game, not a conference championship. As far as I'm concerned, they didn't earn any respect in those 30 yards; that would mean they didn't control the outcome, they took it. Consistency will be key from here on out. So, everybody, what does 30 yards mean to you? (30 yards represents NW-4 and UM-26 in how many yards they needed to get a TD instead of a FG)
  20. Sorry to steal your thunder. I'm sure you guys would've liked to have been the first.
  21. Attitude reflects leadership, captain.
  22. Yeah on passing alone he won't get in. That's why I included the rushing and QBR. He did throw for 503 two weeks ago, but the zero turnovers doesn't help.
  23. Devin Gardner a possibility? Passing- 18/27 196 yards 1TD Rushing- 16 attempts -32 yards rushing QBR- 16.8 (out of 100)
