  1. great one man post show you got going on here
  2. Agreed. heard could have taken the load of Abdullah. why we didn't bring Cross in earlier for short yardage and more ball control offensive stuff is kind of mysterious for me. i know he is young but there was a couple times where his big bruising style was necessary as apposed too abdullahs slash a run style.
  3. i could care less. Your a running QB you get hurt. some times it the D's fault, a lot of times it your own. It's the risk he, miller, martinez and gray all take.
  4. Completely agree. Nessler and Blackledge are brilliant. Announcers are what they are. From an outsider's perspective, announcing a game sounds easy enough, but there's a lot of preparation and challenges that go into doing play-by-play and color analysis, especially if you're from ESPN. These guys do a different game every week, meaning they have to study two completely new teams, learn rosters, read up on story lines, watch film, do interviews with the staff, and then put it all together into a coherent broadcast. Yes they do get paid to do this, but you can't expect them to be perfect or even near-perfect when they're not around this team 24/7 like a guy like Greg Sharpe is. As long as they don't interject bad opinions or completely screw up something big over and over again, I'm OK. Messing up a player's name several times is going to happen. the nessler crew is a bunch of proffesionals. I wish we had them every game.
  5. your right. If you look through history every team in the big 10 has had its reign on top. from OSU too Indiana. albeit Indiana was last relevant in 1940 my point stands. Were you are wrong good sir is that this is not media we have been subjected too, its propaganda. they want too believe this so badly it hurts, they want too believe that there is some underlying actor that makes them successful and that coaches are irrelevant. that they will always have NC caliber talent. They don't like too here how nebraska and many others have won multiple NC's with walk on's and other rif raft.
  6. Bo won't be fired unless we have a sub 9 win season. it would take close too 6-6 5-7
  7. Texas and OU never join. ever. They will never let them selves become "equals" with the rest of this conference. especially when they are getting the bulk of the television money. why would they share that? And no they won't be like Nebraska, they won't take a back seat, they won't accept what the big 10 demands. they will want exceptions, and if any successful deal ever happens. than it is clear all the other Big 10 teams just got f'd in the ass.
  8. Recruiting has lost steam... Where do we go from here? Well..................We go too the bar!!!!!! WWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Martinez has completed 67% of his passes. He's 13th in the nation in Pass Efficiency. He's 39th in the nation in Total Offense. He's 14th in the country in Points Responsible For. Why would you take this guy off the field? For kicks and giggles? you're facts are drowning out the tolls, keep blaring the truth and eventually they will get drowned out.
  10. Yea i am surprised about how rough it has been for ya guys. I bet Urban turns it around though.
  11. Why the hell would tommie come too NU with that attitude knowing T-mart is the starting QB? That don't make sh#t for sense. If he has that attitude he would have gone somewhere else where he could have started right away. I think he came here and will stay because he loves his team, Bo, the university, and the state. And also because i'm sure he knows he can compete for the starting job in 2014 as a Redshirt soph. You don't make sh#t for sense. Sorry but he's not going to stay solely because he "loves" the team, Bo and the freaking state. That's hilarious by the way. Part of the reason he came here is because he know's he phenomenal and that NU is weak at the QB position and that he had a great chance to compete and take over the starting job. He's not going to stay if he doesn't get a shot. He his not here because he loves Nebraska. He is here to be a starter, win and move to the next level. If I was a star like him and saw how bad TM is, I would have been here too. The guys on 1620 are absolutely right. If that is Tommie's attitude i don't want him too start. he won't be any better than those before him. We need people like Joey Ganz, fighters, that love the school, love the team, and want too be here. That is something i think is seriously lacking in some parts of the D and O. The last spot right there are Nebraska's problems. We see it game in and game out. They don't care about Nebraska, this is a stepping stone too the NFL. It happened in 07. it's happening again too a lesser extent. The teams of the 90's were full of walk on's that desperately wanted too be at Nebraska, and that bled too the rest of the team. And having been in the Radio industry and worked in the media these types are prone too over react and create stories too please a distraught fan base, or in this case too incite one. whats more is i want too hear Tommie say all this himself before i will believe in any of this sh#t. i would say i'm sorry too, but right now a lot of people are on the side of the argument that has no facts, other than a bunch of talking heads on some radio show that don't clearly have many facts them selves. This is just another way of the Martinez haters too try and get the kid benched because they think he will ruin the season.
  12. Same. But we do know he also crashed his car during his time in Lincoln so..................lol.
  13. Why the hell would tommie come too NU with that attitude knowing T-mart is the starting QB? That don't make sh#t for sense. If he has that attitude he would have gone somewhere else where he could have started right away. I think he came here and will stay because he loves his team, Bo, the university, and the state. 14. Nebraska's 2 NC coaches took longer than 5 years too win their titles. This debunks you're theory. Todays college game wants quick fixers. they win early and then taper off, cuz they don't know how too build a program, but know how too come in and fix a good teams problems. You will notice all those guys who won in their first 2 years, walked into talented, but unmotivated teams with obsolete schemes. Those are easy fixes for a new coach. Guys that want too build a program often get fired because it takes 4 -5 years too successfully implement. So thus Guys like Turner Gill get fired. I want Bo, because he aint a quick fixer, he is a long term guy.
  15. Bo is my guy. For me i would like too see him ditch the 2 gap scheme against Dual threat Qb's. guys like Braxton are his schemes weakness, especially when there isn't a Suh factor. In terms of Wins losses. If we go 9-3 i can live with this season. if we go 10-2 there won't be a gripe out of me. anything less than that then i think we need to warm up the seat. Bo knew the expectations when taking the job at Nebraska, how our team performed out there last Saturday was not too par with our talent. On Braxtons long run play we saw our DB's run him down, we are skilled enough. But what skill we have is pissed away in lack of discipline, poor scheme, and in the second half most notably, sh#t for effort. These are serious coaching issues. And they need solved before we go too Northwestern in 2 weeks, because if they aren't, Pat Fitzgeralds team will eat us alive. Like last year. I like Bo, he reminds me of Devany, and even bob had a rough stretch at Nebraska that nearly got him fired. I am hoping this is just history repeating it self.
  16. Uh yea....yeah they do......all the time. we certainly didn't want them too hug baby Braxton, we wanted Eric Martin too rip his f'ing head off. It's called football, its a violent sport, that's why people like it. In all honesty nobody wants too see anyone get hurt or killed, but at the end of the day im not going too watch a bunch guys hug each other in tights. I want too see some hits, and being a running QB, well getting hit hard comes with the territory.
  17. Not sure about CU. the athletic department is broke. They have too let his contract run out. so another year or so.
  18. He would be nice to get but your gonna need to pay him more then that. He already make 6.7 million a year with Seattle He would be nice too get if we want Nebraska on NCAA sanctions. I'll pass.
  19. you do know that the man who built Nebraska football, bob devaney, was way more hotheaded than bo? Read what it means too be a husker by Osborne and Snook and how intense and emotional Devaney was comes up often. It is ok how bo acts on the sideline.
  20. 3 INT's say other wise rather consolingly......... If he had taken better care of the ball you could mark 14 points of the score board.
  21. Dari nowkha on College football daily always has nice things too say about Nebraska. his editors prefer too worship the SEC but when the huskers come up he always has nice things too say even when things aren't going our way.
  22. I think this is a dark horse candidate. I think it would be hard too get him too leave Wisconsin. But if his Alma Mater offers it might be too tempting for him too resist. it's hard telling though.
  23. listening too trapt and some evanescence. weird combo but i like it.
  24. probably a wise move. Urban comes across as the type who does anything too win. i think he leaps across the line at times but gets back across before any one notices
