  1. 2010 bowl game - Holiday bowl - quality factors: first game 1978, pay out $2.35 million, played on Dec 27 2011 bowl game - Capital One bowl - quality factors: first game 1946, pay out $4.25 million (highest non-,BCS) played on Jan 1 2012 bowl game - Capital One bowl - quality factors: first game 1946, pay out $4.25 million (highest non-,BCS) played on Jan 1 That seems to be more of a benefit of joining the Big Ten, than it is an indicator of how the football team has progressed. Or in this case, regressed. Everything has to constantly be progressing? right? That is how you see it? Never regression, ever, any standpoint. huh? Never stay the same? Oh, btw, that is impossible so continue to set your expectations at next to impossible. Cant be happy with decent year for the last 5 years? I promise there will be very awesome years, and yes, some years we may only win 8. Both of these are uncommon, but guess what, they will happen. That I promise
  2. How insecure can you get? Get over your SEC!SEC!SEC! self. It is football, OH right, you want him to go, OMGz!!!! WE'RE PLAYING GEORGIA!! SEC! ITS LIKE HAvING TO PLAY UP INTO THE NFL!!!!! would you feel so unsettled by it if he had said, "regular SEC defense" Oh no, that makes u feel like big dick. gtfo and strap up and get ready to make excuses when the B1G T-rex offense craps down your face. 5 time national champions baby, just believe it
  3. I enjoy a cool headed coach, like Osborne and Stans coach. Very level headed. With that said, I played under the most winning-est coach in my state and he would rip your ass whether you were up 60-0 or 6-0. He demanded perfection and I doubt you would find 1 former player of his that wouldn't "run through a brick wall" for him. Now looking back, did it mess with his play calling at times? Yes, I believe it did. and I think he would be the first person to tell you he called the wrong play on emotions. Trying to force things etc etc
  4. 09/01/12 vs. Buffalo Athens, Ga. W, 45-23 09/08/12 at Missouri * Columbia, Mo. W, 41-20 09/15/12 vs. Florida Atlantic Athens, Ga. W, 56-20 09/22/12 vs. Vanderbilt * Athens, Ga. W, 48-3 09/29/12 vs. Tennessee * Athens, Ga. W, 51-44 10/06/12 at South Carolina * Columbia, S.C. L, 35-7 10/20/12 at Kentucky * Lexington, Ky. W, 29-24 10/27/12 vs. Florida * Jacksonville, Fla. W, 17-9 11/03/12 vs. Ole Miss * Athens, Ga. W, 37-10 11/10/12 at Auburn * Auburn, Ala. W, 38-0 11/17/12 vs. Georgia Southern Athens, Ga. W, 45-14 11/24/12 vs. Georgia Tech Athens, Ga. W, 42-10 I really do not see a reason to fear them, especially without a highly mobile QB. They had a very- VERY pud schedule IMO IMO IMO had to really show up for 3 games all year- SC Florida and Bama, 1-2 when needing to show up. Bama lost to ATM. so Meh. No fear on my side.
  5. I really doubt any of the fans in the stadium could possibly understand what it feels like to love the team your entire life and then not be able to play for them. Life is just so tough for some people, how could we even imagine?
  6. I'm only going to explain this once. No one is content on winning just 9-10 games a year. We all want to win them all. But a lot of fans here haven't seen enough to believe we need to go changing coaches, because we understand that doing so can be risky. Instead of thinking "oh if we get a new coach, we're all of a sudden gonna to be going to BCS bowls". When in fact we might head backwards because of the coaching change. I'm willing to give Bo more time. Let him use the recruits from the last couple recruiting years. Because as bad as we've played for some games, we've still managed to win enough games to get a chance to play a big boy like Georgia. I wouldn't call the Capital One Bowl a good bowl. We have regressed in the last 2 years. Bo has had his chance to get new OC's on both sides of the ball. He hired his inexperienced friends. kids won't want to come if everytime they see on tv is Nebraska getting waxed. It will hurt recruiting if they keep happening. Bo will have time for Georgia and if it's another lopsided loss then Bo isn't doing his best. Georgia isn't a big boy they haven't been consistent enough. Husker_99--- there comes a point where you have to wake up, take a deep breath, and say, "I literally don't know jack sh#t". You are literally ignorant on everything you just explained above. You sit through every game just waiting for someone to make a mistake so you can come on here and go "I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!" well guess what piss ant, there were 10 good things that happened to every 1 OMFGz moment this year. your "regressions" as explained above are you taking husker football so personally, that you think YOU deserve a team that wins a national title every year. I mean literally, those are your demands. If WISC was a close game, you'd be here spewing the same bullsh#t. You and the other 4% of piss ants are not the voice of husker nation. The poll on huskermax the other day showed 77% of people are liking the direction the program is going. Now I would suggest you sit the f#*k down and start getting behind this coaching staff and the next 10 years will be a little more enjoyable for you. thanks in advance
  7. Well played, Sir. Well played, indeed. I seriously lol'd
  8. Maybe for Offensive Coordinator if Beck weren't here. And we'd still have no idea how he'd perform in that role. But as head coach? You're out of your head. Did they have an idea on how Tom would perform as HC? Solich? Callahan? Pelini? Callahan with likely more "real" experience than any of the others. <--IMO IMO--> I would hand scott the keys without hesitation. Pitt may be hiring a new AD, you would be a great candidate. :moreinteresting :moreinteresting :moreinteresting
  9. You're just one of many Husker fans who choose to put your emotions in the hands of college athletes. You should pry expect to ride the emotional roller coaster every year until you wake up and realize it is just a game--- oh, and it was still a hell of a great year.
  10. He really doesn't. It is literally a-game-or-two from losing your job today. More anger and more avenues to express anger are essentially just two different ways of saying the same thing. maybe anger has stayed constant- but the mediums through which we express anger have increased. Thus resulting in what appears to be more anger. i.e is there more violence happening in America today or are we just reporting on more violence thus making the appearance there is more violence? The other side claims there is literally more anger in the world. I am ignorant on how you could actually prove either side but IMO I would tend to lean towards more anger as a result of entitlements and the materialistic society that has developed. Now applying this to college football and more specifically our Nebraska Cornhuskers. Are Husker fans really "angry" with Pelini and the Program? According to the most recent poll on the Max (http://forum.huskermax.com/vbbs/showthread.php?42443-How-would-you-rate-Bo-s-performance-this-year) roughly 77% are in approval of how things are going. Now take into context what Osborne said about social media outlets etc etc, with a quick glance at the max and huskerboard, I wouldn't have guessed things were this good. So what do we have? The minority having a stronger voice. Why? Besides the fact that they radio facebook forums etc---- Because they are angry. Why are they angry? Because they are entitled. Some believe we should win every game. They view it as themselves. Selfishness. Drives them to come to this forum and express their anger. Obviously everything isn't started out of anger, but I would think we could all agree most of the hot topics are. Now apply selfishness(entitlement) to the past decade. We have a man like Tom Osborne, who is literally an enlightened guru-self actualized-whichever term you know as being of higher being. What I mean by that is--- the man is selfless in every way and will drive to be more so until the day he dies.. He could have been anything and been successful at it because he cultivates his success through the helping of others. Now the guru of nebraska hand picks us Solich. A couple tough seasons. Entitlement. Fire and crucify a man who has given 30+ years of his life to the state and program. Is that right? Over a few tough seasons? These types of knee jerk reactions are what happens when the angry people are in control. Then we spend some time in the desert- and now we are back again, but the same people wnat to make the same knee jerk decision we did with solich?? Insert the parable of the 40 years in the desert. Some of us are here to say, no, you do not represent the voice of Nebraska, now sit down Husker Crybaby. thank you.
  11. Thats it. I mean, that is literally it. May as well end the discussion. Talent? Thought we were ranked #1 in pass defense those final weeks of this season oh btw, I believe this years secondary defended 1/3 of the passes 09 did?? More opportunity to score when the other teams are slinging it around like that. IMO IMO IMO
  12. ZING!!!!!! :moreinteresting :moreinteresting UCLA could win the Whack12? If we lose to them, will you go into cry baby meltdown mode and throw the entire coaching staff under the bus? MSU? MICH? NWSTRN? IOWA? Explain to me how any of these teams are in pushover mode? Penn St?? We need to fill 8 spots on defense and you post that? should win 10 games? srly?? No rly, srly? This isn't the BIG12 North, chumps. How many nat titles are in our division vs the BG12N? Time to wake up. Northwestern and Iowa should never, ever be in consideration for teams that should be able to beat Nebraska. I'd say the same for Michigan State and Penn State (given all their problems), but I know how far we've already lowered the bar. It won't be long now until winning the "Heroes Trophy" is all that's required in order for a season to be considered successful. Oops. Sorry Dude. http://www.profootba...ines-by-school/ Iowa 31 Nebraska 30 Of the top 26 schools 8 are B1G 2 are B12 But I forgot. We joined the push over conference. Later husker cry babies.

  14. ....getting old seeing the board splattered with crap like this. thanks for contributing. derp. oh sorry, I didn't add a derp to the end of my sentence to signal I was being sarcastic, I thought the 6 etc etc's woudl idicate that. DERP
  15. I thought about this when Teo came into the picture. David is the better college football player, and anyone who says Teo will be the better player on the next level obviously does not watch the NFL. David already has the head set for the Bucs to call the defensive signals and btw, I believe he lead the team in tackles last year and is on track to do it again? Numbers guys can check my work. So if Teo gets into the nfl and leads his team in tackles the first season and is designated captain to call plays within his first 2 years, then I guess T is the better linebacker on the Pro level, but I guarantee it doesn't happen. Ndame has limped through this season and got lucky breaks, they are just a solid team with no HUGE headlining names. Obviously the media hypemen have to find some kind of positive in their team. LaVonte is a rookie THIS year. Of course that makes your points about him that much more remarkable. d= D

  17. Obviously we didn't win the conference or national title etc, this team isn't as good as the 90's etc, Osborne etc etc. Fire everyone etc ettc
  18. I havn't dabbled in it more than 10 minutes, but these projects take a lot of time, although I think there are programs that can spam build for you. I saw this one when the game first came out, a lot like using legos, brick by brick.
  19. i just do not get false start penalties. those are the easiest to avoid and they seem to be the biggest culprit. they are also drive killers. that is a big problem with our offense, although it was much better this year than last. false starts, fumbles (when recovered), and t-mart getting sacked all caused 2nd and longs or 3rd and impossibles. that is how penalties and fumbles hurt us the most. I was a lineman in high school, both offense and defense. I like to think I have an aggresive mentalily and I was always good a for a false start or offsides, if not both, a game. It's hard to explain. You would think it is easy to avoid. Know the count, watch the ball. But for some reason in a game situation, when the bloods flowin, it just isnt. We literally don't have a count on offense. Beck has stated is is a silent snap(offensive linemen are also watching for the ball to snap to get going) Also, OP, can you do a segment on # of tackles accounted for by defensive linemen? I guess only solo? IDK you do it. Would be interesting to see IMO, at the very least, since pelini has been HC.
  20. You would be just as upset if we lead Wisconsin for 59 1/2 minutes only to piss it down our leg. You would be wanting coaching chances just as bad cuz Bo couldnt "close the deal" Everyone already knows you're one of them people, so dont try to spin reasons. *start slow clap*
  21. IDK how Scott Frost isn't the obvious choice. I am willing to say he was my first choice over Bo and will be my next choice when the time comes. Coaching experience agrument? Insert Osborne here. Been around FB his entire life, believe his mom and dad coached him at centura, obvious what he accomplished on the collegiate level, and now has had great coaching experience. I remember watching a segment of him at Oregon and they interviewed the stud WR'S and said he was a big reason why they love it there and even came to Or. in the first palce. We could easily get 30 years out of him. OH by the way, he is a product of our state. Just sayin'
