  1. What are the chances that everyone else drops to 8 conference games, so the SEC drops to 7 to maintain their competitive advantage??
  2. The companies that decide inflation are global corporate conglomerates that are able to enforce their greed across the globe. These companies are harvesting any increase in wealth provided by wage increases and stimulus during the pandemic, leaving less wealth for people to purchase non- necessity items, causing the future earnings for those companies to look like they might decline. People having more money does not lead to inflation. Raising prices to harvest that money does. (Shortages come into play, particularly when it comes to gas, as well.)
  3. Drawing attention away from his name being brought up repeatedly in the Johnny Depp/ Amber Heard fiasco.
  4. Eh, eliminate the title game altogether if they've already played head to head. All a rematch does is eliminate your highest ranked team from playoff contention without any guarantee the 2nd place team will move into contention. If there is an upset.
  5. INFLATION??? https://www.rfdtv.com/story/46480925/jbs-made-dollar1-billion-in-profits-in-the-first-quarter?fbclid=IwAR03ZWBPSm58yARO4EYGlTkS9ZJpikNOdGL2G5hIpPhs6-0MJnZRtyZg1yY I THINK NOT. Corporate greed passed off as inflation. You betcha. Billion-dollar beef! JBS, the world's largest meat processing company, posted $1 billion in profit for the first quarter. That is up 150 percent from a year ago.
  6. So you don't think there are enough Republicans/ Former Republicans disgusted with the Trumpening of the Republican party to vote for an independent Romney Cheney ticket? Romney and Cheney most likely already recognize their career is over. They will be primaried hard in upcoming reelections. And I agree, it would be a self sacrifice on their part, which is why I labeled it as an act of political heroism.
  7. If Romney/ Cheney are as disgusted with their party as the say they are, the both should run and if anyone but them wins the nomination, they should run 3rd party to split the vote and safe the US from another Trump candidate. Who knows, they could even be the launch pad for a common sense middle 3rd party to actually matter. That would be one of the greatest acts of political heroism the nation has seen.
  8. Why couldn't they have made these changes 25-30 damn years ago...
  9. I was in 5th grade in the mid 90s when I learned about our POW camps, when I read in horror that we had Japanese internment camps that cost those Japanese Americans all they had, when I read about the Cherokee trail of tears and the sand creek massacre, and that Martin Luther King was assainated because of his fight for Civil rights and of course there was Rosa Parks and the bus. It wasn't until 10th or 11th grade that I had to watch Mississippi Burning, and learned about the KKK, lynchings church bombings and more. When I learned about Matthew Sheppard and others. It wasn't until college that I learned about the economic and socio-economic outcomes these populations still struggle with as a result of the persecution they faced. I learned through first hand, eye witness experiences the treatment of Hispanic Americans, INS raids, the fear that illegals were stealing jobs and what the Hispanic people were really like. That wasn't a school subject yet. This stuff is taught in schools. But how much longer will it be if a guy like DeSantis takes over or Pillen goes the way of the Trump? First they outlawed talking about climate change by anyone with a government job, now CRT ( though no one screaming against it can accurately define it.) They are trying to ban/burn books. How long will Uncle Tom's cabin still be allowed in a school library or To Kill a Mockingbird??? When will a Child's Guide to Trump by Mike Huckabee replace all that? And I'll add one more, how idiotic do people have to be to lock arms and scream about illegals and vote those leading the hate into office when the ones leading the charge are profiting off of hiring those very same illegals they claim to hate. Looking at you Trump and Pillen voters...
  10. Yep thats why we all said the pledge every morning. Definitely not an echo there. Truth is schools have always been ground 0 for indoctrination just like the church. Some people see through that indoctrination and others a blinded by it. And thats true regardless of what is being taught.
  11. Well if Lsu wanted him at backer, I would bet we is going to be the new Domann, instead of Kolovaric
  12. God we, can't even be in the top 17 of running players off. This program is a catastrophe.
  13. This feels like going backwards and moving away from a common freaking sense national championship. A conference should be 2 divisions of 8 you play seven games against everyone in your division. If you win your division, you play in the conference championship from the winner of the other division. If you win the conference championship, you play for the regional title (consisting of 2 conferences.) If you win the regional title you go on to the National championship semi-final, if you win the semi final, you play for the national title. If my math is right, this would allow for 16 8 team divisions which comes out to 128 teams total. There are currently 130 Div. 1 football teams. Teams that fail to win their division can schedule 5 extra games against other teams that do not win their division or lose before the semi-final game. Then you have a true national champion in 11 games. Each team can play 11 games annually. But god forbid anything is ever done logically.
  14. Those poor dudes they could only buy 1 community. Cut their taxes, they need more!
  15. Ha... the Supreme Court is giving suburban women right back
  16. Touche- it took near total economic collapse of the Great Depression for them to embrace FDR and the New Deal. Of course, then they liked it so much they gave him 16 years of the presidency. - Hopefully people can open their eyes before we get to that level again.
  17. I've argued in other threads regarding the economy, open jobs, and low employment rate, that there are only two ways to find the employees to fill all these open jobs now that the Boomers are retiring out. The first is to make having more children more affordable for American families. That's clearly not going to happen. The second is to wrap your arms around immigration reform and get more people into the country, fast. Turns out I was wrong. They've found a third way. Restrict access to family planning services and products and then poor dumb kids will start having babies before college, have more kids, need low wage jobs just to scrape by, and refill the coffers of cheap uneducated labor for the rich to capitalize on. The wealthy will go to Canada or Europe to prevent their princesses from falling down that path. The funny thing is, all these kids will be born, to poor and middle-class families, and need welfare and other federal assistance to make ends meet (because dang it, no one should have to pay a living wage) and then all they do is complain about the welfare queens, the dirty uncared for kids, and the drain on resources they are even while capitalizing on their backs. It's sickening. Its the same way the wealthy (Pillen, Trump, etc) import illegal immigrants by the thousands so they can pay lower wages and then turn around and have the gall to tell the displaced American employee its the immigrants fault- what kills me is that people are dumb enough to buy it.
  18. So the league said - Oh crap, Nebraska is finally rotating to cross overs that aren't Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State every year, like they've been looking forward to since we started screwing them with that schedule more than a decade ago. How do we throw them back under the bus and ensure they don't make a championship game for the next 20 years? Oh I know, let's use the excuse of reverting to 8 League games with three PERMANENT cross overs. We'll give them Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan EVERY YEAR, FOREVER!!! Muah hahahahaha.
  19. The obsession with property taxes is fine. The tax structure is out of whack. What we need is someone who has the balls to say yes, we do need to cut property taxes significantly, but we still have critical needs we have to pay for. Therefore, we will counterbalance property taxes with increased income taxes on the richest Nebraskans to compensate. That, or we will turn our state into an energy exporter by providing significant tax cuts for farmers who install wind and solar installations, and then significantly taxing the sale of the electricity produced.
  20. Probably the best chance for Nebraska to land the number 1 recruit ever, and now it seems it wasn't really close at all... darn it. That said it doesn't seem like the Raiola family has loyalty to any particular school. Just stings with a legacy recruit.
  21. Yeah, giving rich people all the money always works out great for everyone! In fact, they should pay 0 taxes, and no minimum wage to either so they can really vacuum up all the wealth. Us poor schlubs should feel fortunate to even walk the earth with these welfare queens... I mean scions of enterprise who inherit, I mean pull themselves up by their bootstraps to be worth millions on the backs of our labor. This is always the best for everyone
  22. 1. Democrats hold themselves to a higher standard and are quick to turn on their own if it's politically expedient. Example: The Cuomos and Franken. 2. You are right in many states, Nebraska included, actions and policy do not matter at all as long as you have an R by your name. This is why I advocate for every willing dem/independent to re-register republican to run for office, vote, and primary out the wack jobs. Because of gerrymandering the country will only keep drifting right if they dont.
  23. Next up they get rid of all age limits for marriage. Got to get them girls pregnant, barefoot and in the kitchen as quickly as possible. Plus then the orange cheeto, Epstien, Gaetz and the rest can be absolved of their sex crimes.
