  1. I voted the same way. I really hope we don't lose to Miami, but I am fearful of this game for whatever reason.
  2. I think the Rock said it best with "It doesn't matter"!
  3. I agree. But, there are lots of schools that I can understand the draw. Some not necessarily even having a dominating program at the time. It's just that I don't understand the draw to Miami especially as a parent. Better seats at the game? I love how the banner says "Fan Impact Play".
  4. Here are the numbers. The efficiency numbers seem pretty similar. The thing that sticks out to me is the completion percentage. OSU/Mannion is night and day ahead of TA. 2014 Armstrong 133.0 (53.3% completion) Mannion 128.3 (62.3%) 2013 3 Headed Monster 129.4 (57.7%) / Armstrong 124.3 (51.9%) Mannion 146.5 (66.3%) 2012 Martinez 141.6 (62.0%) - 1st Team All B1G Mannion 138.8 (64.7%) 2011 Martinez 126.5 (56.3%) Mannion 127.1 (64.5%) 2010 Martinez 138.8 (59.2%) Katz 126.4 (60.0%) I will add a few more stats to this. Mannion: Yr Pass Att. TDs Ints 2011 473 16 18 2012 309 15 13 2013 603 37 15 2014 453 15 8 1838 83 54 Taylor: 2011 288 13 8 2012 368 23 12 2013(4) 110 10 2 766 46 22 Tommy: 2013(9) 113 9 8 2014 345 22 12 458 31 20 This is what I wanted to look at. Then I realized that numbers don't tell the whole story about a QB - dropped passes, leaky O-line, injuries etc. I guess you have to look at game film to see if freshman mistakes are eliminated by time he is a senior, or is he doing the same dumb stuff and not learning. I agree this is to tough to compare between the two schoold. It's attributed to WR talent, Offensive line play. Heck the calibure of defenses come into play. I think this is something you have to wait and see how much our efficiency increases, decreases or stays the same this year. I am excited to see if Armstrong comes out like a lion this year or not.
  5. I usually take the day off work and go. This year it looks like I will only have to take a half day off to get up their early. I wonder what time people will get in line this year.
  6. I like how he looks for the endzone every down.
  7. Looks like he has a Nebraska N tattoed on his neck already.
  8. I buy one every year in a different color at the start of the season. I go in a rotation order of red, white, black, gray. This year I am on Black. Just something I do plus I like the polos for work on business casual Fridays and on game days. My favorite was the one from 2 years ago with the stripes below the neck.
  9. I agree. I was really hoping for a gray uniform this year.
  10. I agree with many who already commented on this thread. I like the black Uniforms for an alternate but am not too crazy about the cross lines on the numbers and stripes. I think they would be much more appealing without that. The helmets are pretty good, I liked all the alternate helmets to be honest. I don't really care for the crazy print on the jerseys but it's not as bad as it could have been. The N on the leg stripe is an original idea that was not executed as well as it could have been. As long as the players and potential recruits like them then I am happy with what they are.
  11. I'd venture to guess TA starts the first couple of games. However, I doubt he's the starter by year end. I tend to agree with you. I am anxious to see who wins the battle for the starting position at QB. I also think that TA has the potential to be something great with an actual QB coach instructing him. There is a huge difference in practice and decision making during games. That is where I think Tommy needs to improve the most.
  12. I don't know what to think about this anymore.
  13. I totally agree. These would be the exact same coaches I hope to see stay on staff. All others can pack their bags. I also like Joe Ganz but would rather see a more experienced coach dedicated to our Quarterbacks in the future.
  14. This is an intersting question. So far in the Pelini Era, my opinion of the biggest game as him being the Head Coach would have been the Big 12 Conference Championship against Oklahoma. It would have been nice to end our time with that Conference with the last trophy decided with a Championship game. With that being said, this game is the biggest game of this season and can be a hue game changer for Nebraska. Win this and every game for the duration of the season and post season is the biggest game of the Pelini Era as each would be the game to keep him undefeated for the year and win a National Championship if we would be selected for the playoff.
  15. I totally agree. I don't think Pelini was out of line one bit. This was a bad call. There were a few instances where holding wasn't being called on Miami that clearly should have been. I was all for Bo to speak his mind in that instance.
  16. agree. I love all whites I also love the all white uniforms. I wouldn't mind if we played around with our normal uniforms just a tad like wearing normal home uniforms with red socks or normal away with black socks, just subtle changes every now and then.
  17. Before going into a completely different career field, I was a certified CSCS (Strength and conditioning specialist) as well as held a ACE certification. My take on the injuries is that if the team lacks the endurance and physical ability to perform all game, blame Dobson. You can't place blame for pulled groins or torn ligaments / tendons on the staff.
  18. You only have 8 posts. your opinion is invalid. I may only have 8 posts but have been a Nebraska Season ticket holder since 1992, including the 6 years I served in the military to let you have the freedom to say what you want, and let my parents have my seats. Just because I don't ramble on any topic doesn't mean my opinion is invalid. But if you feel you have a special right on this bord to try and bash on fellow Husker fans for having a different opinion, so be it. I truly doubt you would say it to my face if I were in front of you. You do know what sarcasm is, right? See the little guy holding the sign? But since you want to be an internet tough guy, I'll play. If I told you that my family has had season tickets since the 80's does that trump your 92? I served too. So I guess you're welcome as well to the freedom of being able to post what you want. Since you're new to the board, you probably didn't get the joke. That's on me. But believe me when I say that if I ever met you in person, my sarcasm would come with me. I can't see any gifs or icons on my work computer which I was on. I wasn't trying to be an internet tough guy but rather stand up for myself.

  20. I love it! Hope to see more of this as the season goes on.
  21. I personally love our alts this year. I think Adidas has done a great job so far with all 4 alternative uniforms providing something fun and different each year for a single game. I really wish we did more alternatives each year to be honest. My favorite part of this years uni are the flat red and black helmest. The adizero cleets also look amazing. I believe going with the same color jerseys as pants looks clean and sharp - I wish we would go with all white for an away game, especially Wisconscin to avoid confusion. I am all about tradition and love our standard uniform but a little change every now and then is refreshing.
  22. Two years ago we booked a hole on the golf course by the stadium. Not sure of what it costs but we had a large group.
  23. I truly want to believe this. I was one who thought we would have a scoring explosion team on Offense last season. Hope the Blackshirts show up in a major way this year.
  24. Does anybody else think that a large part of this equates to the staff not properly developing the talent at hand?
