  1. Well best of luck to him on both finding a new school and feeling comfortable where he ends up. I guess I do not see the whole homesick feeling as much since I was a military brat as a kid then joined the military myself. However, I do know what its like to want that feeling of comfort in the decisions you make and if it isn't a good fit then move on for sure.
  2. I am going with Westerkamp. Edit: saw some specific predictions going on so I thought I would as well. Off a 32 yd pass, stiff arms a defender to get to the end zone.
  3. When he came for his last visit he just seemed like he wasn't having a good time, but I still thought we were in the battle... guess not. Please, oh please no husker twitter fan backlash.
  4. Glad to see Rex get some meaningful "touches" Seriously though I am happy to see him play again I hated to see him go.
  5. I think our d-line will see significant improvements this year. Give Coach P a year with the twins and i think they will become solid DT's. All opinion mind you, but i have a better feeling about our defensive line under him than Hughes.
  6. He will certainly have a flag flying in Michigan.
  7. Already leap years ahead of Hughes in recruiting ability. Obviously we need to start getting recruits from d line before we can really see how Coach P is going to turn out, but man thats a good sign.
  8. It is just strange to see all these predictions roll in for Ohio state and so much Husker twitter love.
  9. It's well and good to have opinions on how Nebraska is going to do this season, but who really knows for sure. One thing I know for sure is I was excited by what I saw at the end of the season and we have a lot of unknown quantities on this years team. I would also like to point out that Urban Meyer is also at Ohio State and they recruit really well not to say he isnt a good couch, but top shelf recruits help out alot.
  10. Man having that crystal ball prediction is heavy, but I still think we have a shot. How little I couldn't tell, but we got as good a chance as any i guess.
  11. Not really if he felt he wasnt going to crack the depth chart why would he stay?
  12. Yeah the ole snake oil salesman (I say this sarcastically since he is a pretty good coach) might have his grubby mitts on this recruit. Who knows though we could be lucky enough to pull this guy in.
  13. I think Nebraska is at least outwardly projecting a positive image. It is pleasant to hear good things from the media outside of the program and state for that matter that don't focus on imploding coaches or other distractions. It is still early in this regimes career, but I am optimistic enough to think we can pull a winning record this year and compete in games more efficiently than last year. No hard evidence to support these claims just hoping that the talent we have on the roster can get a chance to come out and play some decent football.
  14. Recruits are life!!!! In reality it's fruitless to admonish those that tweet garbage to recruits since they will continue to do it no matter how foolish it is.
  15. Avery Moss did that and got suspended from the team... All joking aside though he looks like an aggressive player which is great we need that kind of fire on the defense for sure.
  16. If this scenario plays out then man oh man we need to give major kudos to Coach Williams.
  17. Distance plays a part for sure since the draw of having your family or friends near is a big deal to some kids. There is just too many factors that can change a kids mind more so for kids with options greater than South Dakota State and the like. However, I think that it depends on the connections to the coaching staff, current recruits, and existing players that influence most kids to stay. I have found that you take recruiting with a grain of salt, if the kid is meant to stay then he will regardless of distance. In the case of Hampton, yeah that one is a tough read, he committed quick so we will have to see how that pans out for sure. Maybe he has a rock solid relationship with Bray or maybe he just wants a place to go if no other school offers.
  18. There is really no difference from any other year as far as the potential to lose the current verbal commitments. We just have to trust that the staff will be able to keep them interested and also that they believe that Nebraska is still the perfect fit for them if/when they decide to visit other schools.
  19. It makes a Nebraska recruit out of a highly rated receiver?
