  1. It's at least on the short list. But, it did go +5 yards. I would say the worst punt ever by the slimmest margin is his -2 yard punt against Minnesota.
  2. Tough to stop those trick plays In route over the middle is a trick play?
  3. Got my batteries charged for my Milwaukee Heated Jacket!!! let's do this!
  4. I think too many teams in CFB get way too much credit for their quality losses than their actual wins. Wisconsin does have a nice wins over LSU and Nebraska, but they are clearly living off their "quality losses". The CFP committee is also being swayed too much by Barry Alvarez being in the meetings. I heard last year or the year before that he (and other members of the committee with school/conference ties) sit out when their affiliate school/conference is discussed. Wisconsin has played a very tough schedule and survived. Washington was exposed by a very good USC team at home. There's lots of football left and these rankings don't matter. wait a few weeks.
  5. And the one we are most likely to win once in a while...it's the most unique rivalry trophy in the country, and the only one with such a fantastic backstory. Sad that it is missing.
  6. Wyoming is starting to look like a quality win also. LOL.
  7. so give us a number - since fact are facts 14. If we lose to OSU, expect to drop like a rock from there. Our schedule is our downfall.
  8. Here. Westy quit on the play. Complaining about the officials on one play is the epitome of bad sportsmanship in my book. thanks for playing. By the way, we lost. You're right! I totally said we lost because of one call! Jesus dude. Pull your head out. My head is out. Yours, on the other hand... Let it go. this isn't our year. We have been exposed and as our schedule gets serious...well, that will work itself out. I hate ref smack. Plain and simple. That goes both ways. Makes us look cheap and stupid. get over it.
  9. I'm afraid that it is. Yes, they have everything to play for. yes, they control their destiny. No, they won't beat OSU. this isn't the team we want to send to Indy...I remember. Close, but not ready
  10. Here. Westy quit on the play. Complaining about the officials on one play is the epitome of bad sportsmanship in my book. thanks for playing. By the way, we lost.
  11. This is a sign of how far we have fallen. Or where we are. Same thing. Get used to it. it's who we ARE. (not who we were)
  12. We need to win the Freedom trophy, if only to figure out how big it is and build an appropriate spot in the trophy case.
  13. Your welcome. Facts are facts.
  14. Face guarding hasn't been a rule for probably 15 years. And yet it is called almost every time it happens. No, it's not. Commentators still talk about it but that's not what gets called.Ok. Now we know more than the people who get paid to know the rules, Mav. Come on man. They don't get paid to know the rules. They get paid to talk about football. All you need to look at is one Ed Cunningham to know that knowledge of the rules is not a requirement for being on TV/ Alright, I will give you Ed Cunningham. He is a dumbass. My point is if it really isn't rule it sure seems to get called a lot. Also, you cannot impede progress toward a catchable pass, that is literally in the rulebook. No, that's really not in the rule book either. Sigh... pass interference (PI) is a foul that occurs when a player interferes with an eligible receiver's ability to make a fair attempt to catch a forward pass. Pass interference may include tripping, pushing, pulling, or cutting in front of the receiver, covering the receiver's face, or pulling on the receiver's hands or arms. Boom. End of story. Missed call. So that's why we lost. We got literally three f'd up spots...each gave us a first down, but I guess that's ok because they went our way. We lost because of the officials. Cheap, stupid commentary. We lost. We lost because we didn't score. the end.
  15. Show of hands...who does this? Anyone? I swear this is the stuff that pisses me off as a proud husker. I don't see anyone in the stadium cheering for the opponent when we get beat.
  16. This. So much this. Like last year cheering against other 7 loss teams to get a bowl invite, I will be cheering the B1G for or against whatever assures NU of winning the West. I would rather win our way in. Maybe that's just me. I am a realist...we finally played somebody and we sh#t the bed. We could have won. But we did not. the end.
  17. Not. Our schedule is exposed. They will see that.
  18. And we didn't...That's what I am going to remember
  19. Ha ha ha ha ha. I read on this board earlier that those 5 National Championships were won with different coaches and players so that is not relevant. Therefore, quite talking about that. But, seriously, shouldn't;t we win a conference championship before we boast about irrelevant history?????
  20. ITDTG how many runs up the gut can you call before you realize, that crap aint working? Apparently it's like 40 because that idiot Langsdorf kept calling the same play on first down nearly every series. In OT he called it twice in a friggin row. Well, when you are working with a hobbled offensive line that can't pull and you have injuries everywhere you try to make things work. Let's lay this out there for a second... He has a QB that cannot make more than 2 reads without chucking it deep or into coverage. The backup is so much worse that they are afraid to run the zone read in case Tommy gets hurt and we have to play Fyfe. He has an offensive line that is beat to sh#t and the backups were blocking high school kids within in the last 2 seasons. He has lost his best player for the last 3 weeks (Cethan Carter). Ozigbo hasn't been effective on that ankle. Alonzo Moore hasn't been the same since his injury. Dylan Utter is not very damn good and Knevel struggles blocking air. Westerkamp is a warrior, but he was obviously hobbled all night. Our only playmaker right now outside of Armstrong is Morgan, and he ran at least 5 TERRIBLE routes tonight. All of this, and we did enough to play to OT on the road against a top 10 team that has the best defense in the conference and possibly the nation. Add to that the fact we are coming off of a losing season and 7 straight years of getting prison raped by every team with a pulse and I am encouraged by the effort. A couple plays here or there and we win the game, but moral victories are for little kid soccer teams. Build on it, be angry, practice your ass off and beat Ohio State. We are 7-1 and will probably stay in or near the top 10. Beat Ohio State and win the conference and we can still get in the playoff, however if you thought this was a playoff team I have a bridge to sell you in San Francisco. There are many positive things to take from this season, and I can't understand calling for coaches heads from a bunch of people that have never been coaches let alone a Power 5 coordinator. I love that our fans want Wisconsin to be a top 10 team. But for the record...they are 11. Let's keep it real. We are not back to where we once were. we're not. it is that simple. Strength of schedule will tell this story better than I can. wait until Tuesday. NC hopes are over. Done. next year??? Gotta actually win the game against real opponents that we have a chance to win. That's championship stuff. That's not us.
  21. Agreed. That non-call on the pick was something the B1G HQ should weigh in on. But frankly, if we had an OC that actually called plays in a strategic, cohesive manner, and it didn't look like he pinned his playbook to a dartboard in the coaching booth, this game would have been 10+ in our favor in the 4th. Holy hell. Official Smack is not something I can tolerate tonight. Our guys got SO MANY spots...like yard and a half spots. Shut the hell up about the refs. We won that battle.
  22. You are an idiot. Wisconsin is us. Who we think we are, who we want to be. They have played a murder's row of a schedule. We have not. God help us next week.
  23. We need this more??? Do you think they care? We don't even need a spot in a trophy case for the Freedom trophy. Hell, we don't even know how big it is...because WE HAVE NEVER WON IT. Night game, hostile environment (where we can't seem to do anything right)...Halloween Party...if we win, it'll be because we stole it. We haven't been tested. Oregon sucks. They have. That's the difference. They have seen adversity, looked it in the eye and overcome it. If we win, it will be all on Armstrong. He'll have to go JT Barrett and carry the team. I don't think he will. Hope I'm wrong.
