  1. I did not appreciate Hansen's performance as he made me sweat my ASU wagers a lot more than what was necessary!
  2. The crowd was hostile in comparison to the usual Nebraska home crowd. I'm fully aware of what a hostile road crowd sounds like as I've been fortunate enough to see some big SEC rivalry games in person.
  3. You missed my point a bit. The MSU crowd was loud. The Miami crowd was loud, hostile and nasty.
  4. I agree the consensus that this could've used some better planning. For the future, they could take a book out of what Mississippi State does which is super helpful. They post up a 'what to wear' on their website and I wouldn't be surprised if some kind of flyer doesn't get distributed with season tickets. It's pretty slick. I also agree that the university needs to get involved for large scale promotions like this. You see it all the time with NBA teams during the playoffs. There is a shirt for every seat. http://www.hailstate.com/documents/2017/6/5/What2Wear_Poster_2017.pdf
  5. I missed pulling the trigger on under 47.5 yesterday and now the line has dropped 2 points. I feel like U47 or better and/or Nebraska + 13 would be the stone cold nuts. As of right now, I don't see anything of value unless Wisky somehow miraculously drops to -10.
  6. I agree with you for the most part FTW. Agree 100% with needing the crowd to roar all night. What separated the Miami game from other night games (MSU comes to mind) is there was almost a hostility to the crowd that I haven't seen too often with maybe the exception of Texas. It wasn't a bloodlust per se, but man it was close. I'd love to see THAT crowd again on Saturday night. Riley may be a dead man walking, he may get another year. Regardless of our personal feelings towards him, we as fans owe the team our best with what we can control. Nebraska is going to need a herculean effort to win on Saturday.
  7. Trick question. The hurricane's name is Ditka.
  8. Not the craziest idea out there. That being said, Nebraska should be able to get a P5 AD with the amount of money they've paid in the past.
  9. Agreed, I've noticed that too. It makes for good water cooler talk and good podcast stuff so I thank him for that. It's hard to do a weekly podcast when you lead with the mic drop!
  10. I don't disagree in the slightest. Just serving as the vessel here haha.
  11. McKewon had a pretty interesting take on the Wisconsin/Nebraska series also the Nebraska transition from the Big 12 to the Big 10. It starts around the 35 minute mark. Cliffs for those who don't wish to listen: -Nebraska was ill equipped when the Big XII morphed rapidly as teams like TT, Baylor, Mizzou switched over to fast paced offenses that were difficult to stop initially. Also, both OU and UT were really, really good. -Once Nebraska got a handle on those offenses, they switched to the Big Ten which required a totally different type of player...as a result, Nebraska has struggled against physical offenses. Sam likened it to having an aircraft carrier needing to stop on a dime and reverse course. -Whisky enjoys a physiological over the Big Ten West that Nebraska used to have over the Big 8/Big XII. Nobody fears Nebraska. Nebraska can't invent a history of dominance over Minny, Purdue, Iowa, etc because it doesn't exist. -Nebraska is in a bit of a tough spot because Husker traditionalists and/or the fan base is telling the team that they can't look at their Big Ten West as equals and enjoy the wins because they're expected to beat those teams yet at the same time telling the team that they shouldn't embrace the burgeoning rivalry with Iowa because they haven't played Iowa enough times and/or Iowa isn't good enough to be considered a rival. http://www.omaha.com/huskers/football/pick-six-podcast-setting-the-stage-for-wisconsin-biggest-game/article_f898d55e-a88a-11e7-8381-ffaa8ea0ca1f.html
  12. LMAO you can't be serious. Solid attempted troll job sir. I'll give you that.
  13. So if somehow UCF is ranked higher than Michigan at the end of the year they're better than Michigan? On a side note, this is a really weird tangent.
  14. I agree that Happy Valley is not a happening place, PSU is still located in pretty fertile recruiting grounds though which certainly helps. Also, they did a great job hiring HCs.
  15. Seriously? In no particular order.. No more Prop 48 kids. Nebraska took advantage of this rule better than anyone else in the country. Scholarship reductions coupled with the rise of other regional universities which has pulled away a lot of the depth that used to go to NU. Also, college is much more expensive to attend nowadays. The explosion of TV. I understand your point just fine. Nebraska was a powerhouse when it had a HOF coach patrolling the sidelines. It no longer enjoys that luxury and we've seen first hand what has happened.
  16. First off, your sarcasm meter is in need of a tune. You didn't really make a statement so I can't agree or disagree with anything. You just typed in the same tired rant that people have repeated ad nausem for the past 15 years. What Nebraska pulled off in the 30+ years you mentioned was the zenith of Nebraska football and will never be repeated again unless there is a drastic change to the CFB landscape. Every conceivable advantage Nebraska had during their run has been erased. I do agree with the OP in that this is the crux of the Mike Riley era.
  17. Sorry, for you to win at Nostalgia Husker Bingo you need to reference TO + Devaney by name to earn the space. Also, you didn't mention the option. Better luck next time.
  18. Anyone who doesn't like Let Me Clear My Throat deserves to be publicly shamed and/or tarred and feathered!
  19. Ehhh, I can't quite go that far. They have pretty good burgers and fries.
  20. Don't eat a Runza at the stadium, no matter what anyone tells you.
  21. We get it. You hate fun. Every once in a while a change up is cool. Case in point, PSU when they run their 'white out' promotion.
  22. Are you specifically talking about QBs or the whole roster in general?
